You’ve got your own opinion but “ Cas and Wakey both stinking up the comp “ ???? Certainly don’t agree even though I don’t know what you mean.
My guess is that it's their collective embarrassing stupidity in being unable to do like 'smart, savvy' Wigan did and cheat their way out of finishing bottom of the league... Fielden and Connolly playing for free... get f... sorry.. lost.
I was at Cas on Friday eve. Better than usual but still grim. Wakey's dodgy last minute heroics didn't help the mood. At the moment we're a badly run Club with a poor Coach and a group of players who are game but lack the ability. Think BFC over recent seasons! Two highlights. First, the Fish n chips in the Town centre remains the best in the Country. Second, I was wearing my 'Glavin 4' shirt. Got a brilliant reception from loads of Cas fans - a number of whom are long suffering Reds.
What they ermm did was employ family to work in the offices and paid 'them' big bucks - apparently lol.
Both Cas and wakey managed to fool the RFL through the licensing years with claims of new stadiums to keep their SL status
Not really Andy, the RL saw what they wanted to see... the last thing they would want in are teams that they (the RL) see as even less worthy.
Trinity are no longer bottom of Super League after Cas lost to Hudders last night…. never thought I’d say that for rest of season. Onwards and Upwards !
I watched Wakey up at Newcastle and can’t believe they’ve actually picked up ANY points since based on that performance alone!
Don't worry, I'm sure the powers that be will soon find another method to relegate Trinity. Dodgy points deduction or something!! However the fact of the matter is that basically we have three teams that geographically you could throw a blanket over them in terms of distance and catchment. I wish that somehow, and I know I will get hammered for this, they could come together and work collaboratively. Maybe commercially or with a joint academy set up. Something needs to change as the teams East of the Pennines just aren't doing it really in SL this year. Dunno, just a thought!!
That was Cas’s best result of the season last night. Finally removed an over promoted under performing Coach. Powell back? Two weeks to the game at Wakey. Had to get tickets through Wakey as Cas have sold out. It’s likely that the winner stays up and much as it pains me to say it, I think it will be Wakey who will win it, Signing Gale was a master stroke. Frankly Cas are a worse run Club than the Reds.
Big couple of weeks for Cas between now and the relegation 4 pointer. If they get a good coach in, that can in turn get the best out of Blake Austin then they stay up. But it might be too late, such is the torrid form they’re in.
