What a result and second half performance. But could we keep all the point scoring in here please? It's difficult to wade through the I Told You So stuff. Regards.
Haha absolutely. You're very welcome to start a "why were you worried you miserable sod" thread - and tag me in it haha.
Why……we’ve had to put up with a month of doom & gloom on here. The negativity was taken to a whole new level. No doubt the same ppl will post again when either we sell a player or lose to a weak team. Both will happen by the way this season. There’s been so much 5hit put on here the past few weeks that those who posted it can eat it for a couple of days until they come out again. This board has been awful to read the past month and I’ve no problem with ppl eating words on a positive because those same ppl will be on here when they think they are correct to “tell us so”. Let the happy clappers have our moment. We deserve it
Well done to all concerned with today’s magnificent season opener. Nothing like that feeling of a great win, not least given the issues/comings and goings over the last few months. I’m sure there will be tougher games to come, but let us enjoy this and continue to support the reds through thick and thin. You Reds
Personally I think you can end up believing that all the moaners on here are correct if you not careful.......I went out in town before match and there was no negativity that I saw, also it was a really good attendance for first match of season(holiday season).....too many are obsessed with wanting a moan n groan on here and they let that get in the way of looking positively at what is actually going on at BFC.....the Norwood debate proved that to me......anyway I hope all and everyone are content tonight....Up The Reds!!!!!!
Bloke in toilets just before kick off . " don't know why I've come. We been shafted again by board." Would love to have heard his comments after the final whistle.
Tbf I've stuck my head above the parapet tonight - I'm closer to Tinpot than Happy Clapper (I think that's the official name for the two camps). Today has been brilliant. After the initial twenty minutes of getting a foothold into the game - we were quality. Our midfield is a step above. If we keep Styles it's a right bonus. So I'm open to anything tonight. I'm sat in the virtual stocks. Let the Clappers chuck the Virtual Tomatoes!
I’ve read a lot of dross on here and Twitter over the last couple of months so I would like to point score tonight. Knowing us we’ll probably lose to Tranmere on penalties on Tuesday so we need to get it in quickly before the doom merchants return!
Nothing wrong in being a bit sceptical Fonzie, it's been a difficult pre season. Some of the utter garbage and mischief making from others though has been on another level. Anyway, today, a good win. Great win. But there's many much tougher tasks to come.
You can only beat what's in front of you,we've players still to come in and still got to get used to the new coach and new players ,iam pleased with today.
100% agree. The amount of stick our club has taken on here is pathetic. We'll now get the usual and predictable "stop arguing amongst ourselves" jibes. What I would like to ask is whether the people who have been so vocal and anti BFC during this close season have changed their opinions? Any calls from the reasonable and objective folk on here (and there are some) to call for patience and perspective have been ridiculed by many during the close season. The amount of stick dished out at our board and khaled and JQ in particular is nothing short of disgusting. It makes me ashamed that they might think that those people / you people are representative of us as Barnsley fans. You lot really need to think about the unsubstantiated and destructive criticism you aim at people who are working hard to do the best for our club. You all know who you are and I reckon you'll never change your ways. C'est la vie. We might lose our next game 0-7 but you know what? The vast majority of that 12000 crowd will still turn up for the next league game living in hope that the Club will continue to move forward under this regime. My post tonight is fuelled by nothing other than a desire for us to succeed. We can help our club do that by stopping the pointless barbed, personal and insensitive criticism. For goodness' sake just stop. 7 - 0. Never before in my lifetime. Well.done Khaled and JQ etc al and our new management team and our fresh and hungry new squad of players.
