To be fair to him, probably less about money (I doubt they're paying him much more than we would've), probably more knowing Duff was going, and therefore uncertainty plus being a lot closer to home.

Think I'd have done the same in his shoes. Remember he was #2 when he came here (I know Collins was injured, but effectively), just took his chance.

We came out of it better anyway.

We've got a more experienced, more commanding goalie in Roberts.

Worked out well for Isted too as he got a move to another club in London so he won't have had to relocate etc.

 

Bit early to be saying we came out better

 

Sometimes I think people are obsessed with experience Bristol rovers had plenty of experience last season Scott sinclair played in the champions league Premier league won the spl numerous times, John marquis and more did them **** all.
To say we came out better is abit premature we only loan Roberts.

When he went there I told my Charlton-supporting mate that they'd got a good keeper there. I was surprised when he told me he'd only be backup. Maynard-Brewer is their number 1. Obviously he could get injured at any time and Isted will slot in.

 

True, I think he would have been here had duff not left we had no manager and alot of uncertainty.

 

Glad he's not. We need keepers who have confidence in their ability to be picked as the number 1.

 

humour, no bitterness, now duff am bitter, he did make out as though he wanted to play,sign for us or so i thought,if i was bitter if he ended up their first choice keeper id think batsterd,like if swansea wa top of league and we were doing crap,as it stands were top of league so happy days.

On first viewing Liam Roberts looks like he’ll do us just fine though.

I also think they were bullshafting us as well, when they said it always rains on me, because I lied when I was 17!.
