After an hour he took off two of our only experienced players and we finished with one of our youngest sides ever. EFL should let teams who can't be bothered just not enter in the first place.

Look at his post match from Saturday and his prematch for this, talking about people starting games rather than be subbed on in a game we were 4-0 up in. Of course he wanted to win the tie. He picked a team to try and do that - balanced against the need to keep some players who we can’t afford to lose out of the way. To be honest I was somewhat surprised to see Kane and Williams start, though I suppose the team did need a little guidance. I have absolutely zero issue with the team picked, if anything I’d have rested two or three more.
