I got practically called a homophobe with a sly comment. a few weeks ago by one person after a barrage of questions that pertained to something totally out of context by 2 trying to prove a point. I quite frankly get p1ssed off by pricks trying to be clever. And trolling to try get something over to point out something untrue. I made my point but it didnt fit their pathetic agenda. And didnt give em the satisfaction of trying to make out the lie they sought. It happens all the time to other posters as well. It's not clever and quite frankly as stupid as it gets. It was 100% aimed at me. But the response I got. "Not specifically."
It either was or wasn't. Not specifically still means I was a target.
The person got 2 likes from the trolls. Said it all.

Glad to read that. I think it was Taff's Pride thread. I know I made a couple of tongue in cheek comments early doors.

Fact is since my life turned upside down I've learnt to appreciate others more. I still have my moments where I wince afterward mind .

 

I know which post you're referring to with the 'not specifically' comment and who said it so I know that you don't mean me exactly for that but I just wanted to clarify again that my part in that thread was very specifically NOT aimed at you when I said there was homophobia and my likes to that person was because I was thinking of the other people who I believe are very much homophobic (and racist funnily enough)

Yeah I'll front up to this and back up what I said. There are a fair number of posts in that thread that, simply put, are racist. Including some from your good self. Now you might not think this, which is why you need to educate yourself, but that's just the way it is.

From inferring that just because someone comes "across 2 continents" that this means that they're so primitive that there are no safe methods of communication, to you clearly wanting people of other nationalities to be treated differently and more harshly than Brits ("why are they getting 4 star hotels").

You've been given a cavalcade of data/articles for you to read to try to provide you with factual information that debunk your mindset - yet you've continually ignored it and peddled the same rhubarb throughout the thread. You might not think you're being racist, but you are. It's not just you mind, and you probably weren't the worst offender - but that doesn't make a blind bit of difference.

Please educate yourself into what is acceptable. Please show empathy to other humans who have been dealt a horrible hand in life. Please show compassion to fellow human beings.

Your inference that the only way to communicate with people in Africa/Asia was "a smoke signal or a message tied to a piegon" is ignorant at best. It's not difficult to see that as racist and I think you have to do some mental gymnastics to see it as purely ignorant and nothing more.

I said people are travelling through 2 continents and countries that aren't in conflict why is this?
I said it seems to be mainly males from what I've seen with my own eyes outside hotels that used to be decent hotels. All paid for by the tax payer that ruffled a few feathers admittedly is that racist? No not at all. I never gave my opinion on it all I just got barrage of abuse by many posters. I think a bloke who has since posted sums it up quite well if we didn't have a backlog of about 80k asylum claims and things got speeded up it would help either approve or deport.
Like I said some posters giving the abuse have a history of that sort of thing and one calling people bigots didn't know why singing **** the pope could offend people.
