6 handicap. That's superb. I played for 20 years and only ever got down to 13 but it gave me fantastic enjoyment and took me to some wonderful places. A good walk is only improved by golf.
I was a pretty good cueist and table tennis player in my day so thought I had good hand to eye coordination but couldn’t get to grips with golf. One day put in on a sixpence next shot not even in the same course! 6 is an excellent score and would have thought would be right up there in most clubs
I think certain sport can be learned, usually the hard ones. golf, darts, snooker etc where it’s just you on your one against the game… that can be learned there is no or little actual talent required take your 3 year old and instead of sending them to school send them to golf lessons.
Ice Hockey, sliding around on 2 knives trying to hit a 9oz vulcanised rubber disc with a 6ft long stick whilst being hunted down by 5 burly fast moving guys trying to kill you.
Yep, I sacked it a few years ago when it became increasingly difficult to cling on to my 7. I'd worshipped the golfing gods for far too long and it was quite liberating when we fell out. Now I fish for wild trout
Had a very enjoyable evening last night playing Shufl in the Brewdog pub in Bradford. That’s a great game when you’ve had a few!
