    Two match ban confirmed.

Seems reasonable. Three would have been very excessive in such a short tournament. Back for the final if England get there.

Which considering the number of injuries we've had to key players plus missing James, would be a monumental achievement.

Would love to see Beth England start next match. Personally I'd bring her in for Russo.

Does she come back in for the final though if we get there? Seems harsh to drop whoever replaces her and let her stroll back in after putting the team's place in the competition in unnecessary jeopardy.

I guess that depends how we've played. At the end of the day you always field the side that gives you the best chance of winning. She may not start, but I'd be astounded if she didn't play some part in the final if England get there.

She should get a game again in this World Cup.

England really should have enough to see off Colombia. They got away with it against Nigeria and surely won’t put two poor performances back to back; pound for pound they are a better side than Colombia.

After that they’d be favourites in the semi too, but win or lose there’s a game after that which James would be eligible for either way.

England are now outright favourites for the tournament, it will be interesting to see if that adds any pressure to them.

Pick your best available team every time. So back in for the final if the manager thinks so.

Boooo! I'm assuming you're on a wind-up, as I can't imagine how even the most mean-spirited Scot could fail to be impressed by the Lionesses. Brilliant footballers, absolute pioneers for the women's game, and they also come across in interviews as some of the most genuinely down to earth and likeable young ladies you could ever dream of meeting.

Surprised at that, wouldn't put us favourites against Australia and certainly not France.

    Speaking as a Taff -

I'm thoroughly enjoying this World Cup and think England are doing brilliantly.

So I say 'Come on England.'
(something I've never been able to say when the England men's team has been playing...!)

With the way they/we have been playing, I don't think we would be favourites against France, if we meet them.

I still don’t think it was that serious, but 2 matches is about right. Punish but don’t completely ruin her tournament. Looks like a compromise was found? Bloody women being sensible as always.. :)
