Hopefully being made club captain and maybe a bit of a pay rise will make him want to stay..

Some truth in the rumour then the bit in the article says keen to test himself at a higher level. Four years left on his contract what price do we think it becomes attractive to sell or not at any price.

They've sold that striker for 20 million so I imagine it's from that sale.

It's a must keep at this level for us but considering the current market it's got to be double that with four years left on his contract.

Then we should demand at least half that; lump sum enall, no phased payments.

They’ve probably spent the majority of it by now. They’ve signed a couple of strikers for over £10 million.

Nah … never heard of this reinvesting thing.
Must be dodgy if we don’t do it

    £10million? Behave!

I really like Liam Kitching, he’s improved and he’s an absolute 100%er, was the obvious choice for captain.

But a £3.5-£4million offer would likely do it and I think it would be daft to turn that down as well - as long as the money is used for the team. We ought to have brought in enough this summer by now to cover most of the shortfall, anything else should go into the squad, not just on fees, but to bring one or two in and pay them a competitive salary.

I suspect this isn’t the last we hear of a deal for Kitching. I also suspect a bid or two for Callum Styles and to be honest I think the first decent bid gets him, there’ll be less resistance for him than for Kitching.

Peterborough have transfer listed a lot of there better players as they’re up **** creek without a paddle, they finished 2 places below us… no one has come calling other than Ipswich for the midfielder.

Bolton finished 1 place below us, they’ve not had any bids for there big hitters?

We have bids in for players left, right and centre all summer?! Clubs must think we have are soft as **** when it comes to bids being accepted, we might as well accept now that he’s going…

I’d obviously love him to stay, but If this is true he’ll be gone by the end of the transfer window. There’s no way the board will turn down a bid of any significance (circa £3m)

By my reckoning we are at least £5m up this summer and spent naff all, this constant "we're skint, must sell" narrative is wearing a bit thin. How do the likes of Cheltenham and Cambridge survive?
If we're getting bids it's about time we put it out there...he's on what, a 4 year contract? £8m or dont waste your breath.
