Bristol Rovers made 4 changes for their cup defeat to Ipswich in midweek. The hosts are 23/10 outsiders to prevail over the league leaders.

The Gas opened the season with a credible 1-1 draw away at a fancied Portsmouth side. They finally succumbed to Pompey's second half pressure in the 92nd minute.

The Memorial Ground was far from being a fortress last season, with just 25 of Rovers 53 points coming on home soil. The only side still in the division with a worse home record than the Gas were Oxford. They ended the season with just 1 home win 11 (1-0 vs Charlton), albeit they did hold the reds to a goalless draw amidst that run.

We've not found Bristol Rovers a particularly easy venue in the past. In 16 league visits, we've won twice, in 1992 (1-5) and 1958 (0-2). We also won on our first visit there, in the FA Cup, en route to reaching the 1910 final. Bristol has been a difficult place for us to visit in general, as our record at City is as bad.

Despite that, I fancy a much strengthened reds side to edge out a narrow victory this Saturday. I'm going for 0-1 with Styles on the scoresheet.

Impressive 3-0 win Cole with a perfect hatrick in the first 10 minutes then subbed off and sold at halftime

1-1. Think they’ll try to bully us and spoil the game.

Goal from a set piece. Lopata.

2-0 to Rovers. One early, one in the 102nd minute. BBS spontaneously combusts when team bus drops Kitch off at Coventry on the way back.

1-0 to Bristol. Luke Thomas scores and De Gevigney sticks in a transfer request at halftime.

It would be very Barnsley to lose tomorrow quite comfortably after the results last weekend. Don’t care about the Tranmere result as nice as it is getting a cup run.

Going to say 2-0 Reds before a run of tough matches. Watters and Cole.

Bristol look to have decent side this time around, could be a surprise package I reckon. A draw might be a decent result.

Hoping for a win but certainly wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw.

Luke Thomas could cause problems with our defence as it stands but with the prospect of goals for us coming from nearly anywhere in the setup i think we will still win but think it could be tight but 2-1 barnsley i think
