When I was a kid, we visited my Aunty who lived in Bristol during the school Summer holidays in 1969. Ny uncle, who was a Bristol City fan, took my Dad & I to our away game at Bristol Rovers. I thought the pitch seemed miles away from the terracing. Also, there were flower beds behind both goals! We drew 3-3, with Barry Murphy scoring for us.
I'm guessing this is at the old Eastville site by the gasworks mate? I've never, ever seen flower beds in a football ground before, how quaint!
If Kane doesn't get back on the team bus after the game it's not because he's signing for Bristol City. There's an excellent advanced hair studio there.
I like it! A sea of white roses around the perimeter in front of the East, West and South, and wheelbarrows of manure in front of the north for those special occasions
Didn't they play at Bath's ground Twerton park, in the 90s ?. Where we hit them for 5 once, and that could have been 7 or more lol.
Yeah it was in season '92, and what annoyed me more than us conceding one late on...is we were wearing yellow shirts for no reason whatsoever!!.
