    Anyone use this? Opinions?

Thinking of subscribing to it. There is a dish on the wall but they say it’s not needed for this service.

Brother got sky glass. Didn’t like it as much as sky with box. Not same with recording, rewinding etc

This was my concern and I haven't looked into it enough yet. I like the recording facility on the Virgin box and especially the ability to skip forward or backwards just by voice control. I record any programmes with adverts and watch them later skipping the ads.

I was just wondering about reliability really. Virgin have been pretty good over the years but a potential move in the near future reveals that there is no cable in that area.

Sky Stream is broadband-based so dish not needed. My view is, if you have a dish already, go with the dish (broadband could be down & will prevent use)

My next door neighbour ditched his dish and went with Sky Stream and he's really happy with it. Much cheaper

We kept SkyQ when we renewed this year and personally I'm glad I did but will definitely consider Sky Stream next time it's up for renewal

It's alright if you have stable internet, the recording function was hard to lose until you realise you just press the plus button then it gets put into a playlist VoD after its aired. Kids seem to use more than just YouTube now we have sky glass and me and the Mrs use the stream box in our bedroom.

Assuming the dish works what happens? Presumably an engineer calls, wires up the box and hub then you're connected to Sky tv and BB, depending on the package selected. I haven't used Sky for many years. I know they all have their problems with reliability and customer service etc but I was only thinking of going to Sky because the dish is already there.
