That's right, like Sherringham did. Not like his game relies on his pace and losing that would take something from his game.
Got the best team behind him though. He's immense though, think he'll definitely smash Shearer's record if he stays in the Prem. Might be why Kane moved to get trophies, given that he'll likely not get the goal scoring record!
Shearer’s record is nonsense. Football wasn’t invented in 1992. They only rebranded the league. No different to division 1 becoming the championship or division 2 becoming league 1. There’s 5 clubs who are guaranteed champions league football every season who can genuinely win it. Real who are getting Mbappe, City who have Haaland, PSG who are a basket case, Barca who have Lewandowski & are in a financial mess & finally Bayern Munich. It makes perfect sense, play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, likely to win their league most seasons & a genuine shot at winning the big one, the European cup every season. Alternatively he can stay in England & join Man Utd next summer, never win a league title as City are levels above, he might not even play in the champions league but at least he can break a fake record that in the grand scheme of things means bugger all.
Its when the money started rolling in and became more world wide mate. They don't care about normal fans. They care about fans 5000 miles away who pay week by week for every match. If they could get rid of season tickets they would
Doesn't always work like that, Bayern's got no competition in the Bundesliga, best team by a mile so Kane should hit 50 goals this season....he won't.
Was my immediate thought. How can we sign players that take days and weeks to get clearance - yet Kane signed for Munich yesterday and within 24 hours he's on the bench??
I agree but shearer is the best English striker I've seen in my lifetime. If he had gone to United instead of choosing his club Newcastle is record would be even better and he performed well for England.
Because he automatically qualifies, they don’t have to look into his back ground etc. It’s all set out in black and white the process.
Definitely. Think he had two seasons worth of goals that didn’t count towards his record for Southampton too.
