We need to stop pinning our hopes on his return.
What noise that comes out of the club, sounds like they don't know what is wrong at the moment.
If that's the case then they can't even start to treat whatever the condition is.
Once he is treated, he then has to get fit.

Personally think we won't see him for a couple of months yet.
That's why we need a stop gap, help in the middle / more depth and quality competition.
It won't hurt having one too many in there.

Hope I am wrong, but doubt it :-(

We've got Bomber Russell. Our very own whirling dervisher.

Yes .. we've a Jamaican international. But joking apart, weve gone from everyone knowing and sticking to their role under Duff to.. we'll just all over the place yesterday.

PS.. hate us trying to play out from the back.. Stop it!.. all we do is put ourselves needlessly under pressure. Was the same against Port Vale for the first 20 minutes, we couldn't get out of our own half.

If the Luca is going to be out any length of time we need someone in now,3pts is a great return with Russell in that position but we are getting away with it and it won't last.

Phillips is back on Tuesday. It’s if we decide to sell Styles and/or Kane we should worry.

What would you do rather than retaining possession? Because long ball, with the players we have certainly isn't the answer. That for me is when attacks often break down and we do put ourselves under pressure, when we just gift possession back to our opponents from an aimless long ball.

The problem isn't playing out from the back, it's being too hesitant to find a forward pass. Last week against Port Vale, we retained possession, we transitioned up the field quite quickly with 1 or 2 touch passes, and the wide players found pockets of space in behind.

Bristol were much better organised yesterday which stopped us from moving the ball around as quickly. Our midfielders are tending to drop a bit deeper though than they did last season, which says to me that eventually everything will click into place.

There’s nothing wrong with playing out from the back,if you’ve got the players to do it.

Suppose it could be one of the three things.

physical affecting basis football ability like a strain

physical like a disorder or intolerance - I wonder if they are testing for things like coeliac if unwell

Mental - could be the biggest problem

I think we need someone who is mental in the side. I wonder if Connell is our nutjob who players look to for a break from the norm?

They know what's wrong with him.

It's not a every day football injury.

Not as in a psycho I mean psychological concerns given footballers aren’t immune to mental issues.

We never had Styles last season always looked like he was off. I wouldn't worry about losing him.

If Luca does have issues such as you're alluding to, don't you think your post is rather inappropriate?

Personally, I’d rather us not speculate about what illness he has and to just leave it there.
