Easy to say that isn't it but the player sales and reduced costs (Oulare off the wage bill and hopefully Iseka soon) may just about balance the books witbout giving much (if any) surplus. If you read the threads from @Archerfield and a few others who comment on the finances then surely you will understand that financially it's been an absolute **** show. Don't forget the owners had to put £6m in last season just to keep us operational. I honestly don't know what the answer is but as @JamieBreweryStander said in another post, we ain't a championship club anymore without owners that will provide significant capital.

Yep tore up the remit from a successful (ish) season like 20/21 and 22/23 for saleable assets. Joke club.

I can't see how that would be the case. In reality, most sides outside the Premier League must probably be quite close to administration, except money is being put in to keep them solvent. We're not different, but we have had some very obvious incoming money from transfer fees, with seemingly little going in the other direction.

Aye. And it's entirely on the owners why it's like it is.

    Absolutely nothing on us fans.

Peterborough have beaten us fair and square, they're a damn sight fitter than our lot, far more positive and have players that know their roles.
As for our sad bunch, we'll, the signs were there for 25 minutes against Port Vale, 70 minutes against Brizzle Rovers and again for 70 plus minutes tonight.
If, as suggested that offers are incoming for Styles and Kitching then I hope they both go.
It's early on and it'd be easy to write off this manager, but, I think he's got a tough old time in front of him going on tonight's display, but for our keeper it would've been 1-6

That was pitiful, Peterborough were magnificent throughout. Don't know who to blame, manager or players but truly gutted this evening :(

I think it's the legacy of Conway and his mates we're struggling with.

Imho...fairly even first half...second half had a decent 10 mins but their thought and movement made us look silly.....they played through us and round us and our keeper was our best player.
Posh will be there or there abouts, we should be but we seem to suffer more than most, with selling after a good season and its going to take time to build an effective side.

That would be far too sensible, plus we have to stick to the model which is the nudge nudge wink wink for we are broke

Chuffed to be leading but all the warning signs we're there, we just don't look fluent far too many long balls and then we are wide open defensively all through the pitch, I do think we've got some quality players, just needs Collins to find a way of linking them together as a unit. Very early days though.

    Well yeah, I agree.

I guess my point is that, given last season, we should be aiming for more than getting absolutely schooled by a team that will "probably be top six".

And, again, this is actually before we've finished our transfer business. This is probably going to be as good as it gets.

60 years on I’ve seen a lot worse than this from a Barnsley team and don’t want those helcian days of the old 4th division back again. We we’re poor tonight and it’s the players in the Team that need a reality check

Roberts did well to keep us in front then inexplicably played a suicide ball which cost us a goal. Kitchen then thought there was only him on the pitch and cost us another. Woeful performance all round, we'll be lucky to finish mid table. All the teams in this league strengthened their squads except us, reap what you sow i suppose

If we could find manager that would like to stay here for more than one season who might only be average.... We might bleeding get somewhere...

It's **** or bust with mangers. Decent and gone. Or **** and sacked. So yes. I'd have Darren Ferguson in a heart beat. I'd even go for Nigel Clough. Big boys don't want them, but they get teams going... And might just stay with us instead of having to start again mid way through the most important part of the season. Pre season. Where we constantly have to start again.

It needs to change. I've no idea if Collins is any good. Or if it's players not doing what they are asked. But our shape is way off what I expect from our team...

Another headcoach who has no plan B. You could see what was happening for about 20 mins before they scored their 1st but nothing was done to change it. All he did was swap the front 2.
