Great news. He certainly contributed his fair share last year. Reminds me of Hourihane in his first season. Hope he continues in that vein
Great news. Occasionally disappears during games but nobody(!) can argue with his goals and assists output. Let’s hope there’s a couple more to follow soon. Cadden and Williams would be especially welcomed.
Far too short term thinking for my liking, tieing your best two midfielders to four year deals to reward a good first season.
Not exactly sure what you mean tbh. It's only been extended another year in reality. The last one is an option. Swings and roundabouts for me. Giving Iseka and Oulare 4 and 3yr contracts respectively. Has proved a disaster. Others given shorter terms and left with issues of said players running contracts down. Not willing to extend their stay. It's a dilemma for any club.
They're not gonna get every one right. Can't say 'give this one a 1 year deal he's probably gonna be *****'. They're rewarding good performances, upping their wages and money & which means they're less quick to decide to **** off and if they want to, we're covered. Fair play if you ask me.
I’m not sure. They do different jobs in that midfield. We need someone to protect the fragile defence. & Phillips isn’t the player to do that..I might start him just behind Devante, though?
