Survival depends on his health. This lot won't stay up without him unless they find a loan replacement. Kane at holding midfield - oh my god.

Kane was very poor today and Connell will be a welcome return but he won't make the difference of promotion/relegation. Far too many other areas of concern for him to carry us

Kane unsuited to that role, sitting deep in front of the back three.

he will make the difference to relegation

we will be nowhere near promotion, even with Luca Connell in the side

Bet he's regretting committing himself for longer to this dire lot.

Never thought that deeper role would suit Kane to be honest. He needs to be further forward.

Yep, way too careless in posession for that role, a liability.

We can't pin everything on Connell, he's only a young lad. But no doubt he'll improve us!

Bigger underlying issues than getting Connell back.

Definitely agree that we can't pin our hopes on Cornell's return. One option for Collins could be to get back to absolute basics, solid set up, difficult to break down, more defensively minded. May not be pretty to watch initially but could stabilise us and form a platform from which to build, particularly if he went down this route and picked up a couple of encouraging results. Let's see how the next few games go.

That was one of the most inept performances since a 1978 defeat to Exeter

I think that's exactly where we need to go. Only the defence has really changed since last season, but without a solid defence, the whole team starts to look very ragged, and far worse than they are in reality.

Our best players by a mile. Influence he makes is unreal. They say 1 man don't make a team but this man does

Luca can't return quick enough' in order for your so called flair players to do what they do best you have to have a guvnor so to speak in midfield to put the workrate in break up play and give the said flair players the time and space needed to bring the forwards into the game' its a chain reaction from back to front but atm the most important link is missing' we have no Darren sheriden' Josh scowen or Luca connell we have players just filling in and its showing badly.

Don’t want to rush him back if he’s not fully ready but boy are we missing him. Kane and Russell are both good (well mostly) on the ball but can’t cover the ground and make interceptions like Luca does. Such an important player for us.

Not with what I've seen so far organisation zero. Least with duff we were well drilled and organised don't know what this clown does in training.

Said after the Bristol game if he wasn't back quickly then we need a similar type of player in because we got away with it there but won't last. Back to back home defeats bears this out.
