So the car park is about 75% full now.

Is that what was expected after the recent shenanigans?
Loss of revenue, waiting to get out, etc.
It will look good in winter when fans really can't be bothered to go any more. Is it all down to safety or are there ulterior motives?
I can't wait for proper no parking police cones to appear on Pontefract Road. At the moment this is the only consolation to the parking problem but I can see this will be looked at.

 

Don't understand why you wouldn't want the carpark full and for it to be run efficiently . Unless Kaleds big news is its being sold to Tesco!

 

It does seem that as a business we feel that our only avenue for income is player sales and cut wages.
We seem unaware that a captive audience of 10000 every week might give opportunity for more income, before we even start on the wider community.

 

I would always want it to be full, no question. But seeing it yesterday with so much empty space seems to defeat the object.
They close it off at 2.30 and leave it to drivers to dump their cars anywhere they can.
When does 75% full become 50%, then 25%? It's going to look a bit ridiculous one day.
And please .... anything but Tesco !!!!!

 

That car park should be used all week with a shuttle bus to the hospital to cut traffic on Gawber and Pogmoor Road.

I really don't understand why it's not been done.

 

He's having a Boxpark built on it......get that feel good factor back.

It's a wider reflection on how we are run, skeleton staff set up, attention to detail non existent, commercial nous and customer relationships way below, just a general laid back "it'll be reeght" approach.
Been going to oakwell since 81 as a nipper, we've never spent big bucks so that's never been a problem and we've always had to sell a player or 2, but I hate what or are becoming.
I like many bought into the project and whilst I appreciate the days of mangers signing half their mates are gone, and whilst I'm becoming repetitive the stuboness, philosophy, pipe dream call it whatever of this model to have no flexibility in playing style and recruitment is killing us and sucking the life out of fans.
