Chelsea have issues (Nike) and others too.

    I don’t think it’s all just Puma.

I have noticed that more clubs inc. EFL ones are going down the bespoke route even more these days. We have for a number of years, but other clubs are too now.

Apparently the delay is down to a worldwide shortage of glitter and sequins.

    What exactly needed EFL approval?

Coventry Home shirt now available but still awaiting away kits

Brighton have shirts but issues with on shirt letters and numbers

Derby Home shirts now available, awaiting away kits

As much as we say other clubs are having the same issue. They’re not really are they

Plus all the clubs mentioned earlier have at least updated the fans regarding the issues

In that Coventry update is one that’s probably affected us also but we just haven’t fronted up to it.

“Last year, our 22/23 home kit was revealed on 25th May – becoming available to purchase at the end of June. However due to the change of front of shirt sponsor and the subsequent delay in confirming the Club’s new sponsor for the 23/24 campaign, our previous timeline could not be achieved.”

Truthfully, there may ne a variety of issues with the kits. The bottom line is that I ordered 3 home shirts, a 3rd shirt & 2 full kids keeper strips. That’s a lot of money! I was told 3 or 4/8/23. Just before the season started (I ordered them on the 1st day) - I thought it seemed a fair way away but hey, it was before the season started. I’ve had no update it checked & it says 24/8/23 (not great) - I fully expect it to be put back to 8/9/23 (same as a number of my friends)! Whatever the issues are, whatever the reasons (teething problems apparently £, it is simply not good enough

I thought our sponsor, the US telecom company, was confirmed before the end of last season? I'm sure their owner was on the pitch at one of the games bigging up his company and our relationship with them.

Nice family sit in front of us; Dad, Mum and three kids. One of their lads was a mascot last week and he walked out, with the team, smiling ear to ear. But the poor lad, and the other mascots, had to walk out wearing last seasons kit.
It has been said, above, however, that the blame must lie with Puma. Second season running, now, that my lad hasn’t shelled out on at least two of the shirts purely because summer is just about over by the time they are available.
Get Greenwood Sports on board for next season!!!

The order for the shirts goes in around October according to an article I read on the subject.

Hopefully kits for next season are ready to be made, so they can get sold here very quickly after the current season ends.

See I really dislike stuff like this when it’s totally overlooking the fact that the launch been littered with failures too.

Plenty won't be happy at seeing someone not part of Barnsley FC wearing the new shirt when lifelong fans who have bought one are still waiting.

Not part of Barnsley FC? We've somehow managed to get one of the biggest up-and-coming names in street wear to collaborate on our shirts. Someone who's guest designed for Louis Vuitton and who's actually taken time out to come to Oakwell and you think he shouldn't be wearing a shirt because we've had some supply chain issues and delivery has got delayed? He's taken the trouble to come to Oakwell but he shouldn't be thanked or have a photo with his shirt? I get that communication on the late delivery hasn't been very good but I think people who are upset about this photo need to take a step back.

Not arsed he’s wearing a shirt tbh. Just the fact it’s being hailed as some good news yet the shirt been on sale for well over 2 months and missed its so called delivery dates by well over a month already with no updates at all& it that could be still subject to change once we get to the next date again as I don’t have any faith any longer in the dates being provided by fanatics and no real clear comms from the club to update us on the delays either. That’s the bit I’m annoyed at.

The board & in particular JAQ don’t really have a clue do they. Even at the meeting on Friday they just didn’t get it, especially Khaled.

I haven't had a single email update since I got my order confirmation after paying for £117 worth of kids' kits on the 6th July. Absolutely monumentally woeful. Pathetic.

No they don't. They've every right to be annoyed.

Folk have ordered birthday presents for their kids. Fans want shirts to wear to games. To wear on holiday. To show their support for the club. They don't care who's designed it. Some might say that the bloke should be tarred and feathered for the design anyway.

It reminds me of the West Stand closure. Sorry everyone, you can't sit in the West Stand. Oh but actually you can Mr Dignatory, sit in the exact seat that someone has had to vacate on "safety grounds", but you're OK to sit there. Would you like to shine your shoes?

We need to start catering to the fans again. We're the lifeblood of the community. We save our hard earned cash to spend on the club we love. Somewhere along the way we've taken a wrong turn. Hope it wasn't after 2.30 near the car park either, cos that would be no good either.
