Wigan for League One?

Have seen off the points deduction and are up to 19th, best GD in the division and unbeaten. They'd be top without the -8. Already won away at Derby and Bolton. It's surely only a matter of time before they're bang up with the leaders. I've seen worse 20/1 each way bets. I'll say nothing about their prospects in the next game!

 

Yep To think for most of the close season the only thing their fans were concerned about was whether or not they’d get to start the season How come they can just slip into overdrive while the losing playoff finalists are struggling to get out of first gear?

Be the most Barnsley of Barnsley's to go a sneak a 1-0, decent record at the DW, more questions and more pressure mounts though if we get a hiding, time for some of the senior pro's to get their heads in the game and step up.

 

We’ll get beat unfortunately Saturday. I was laughed at for saying Peterborough and Oxford were tough games and we’d get nowt from them. It’ll continue until we sign at least five more players, have a manager who learns quickly and a recruitment strategy that changes.

 

Think we will lose easily. Nothing I saw on Sat made me feel even remotely confident.

We will get beat comfortably liam Roberts motm again. Mr Collins will have one win from 5 competitive games

 

It's clear they're not fragile.

 

I don't know how many key players they lost other than Whatmough, but they're making the division look easy like they usually do. I really fear for us on Saturday and wouldn't be at all surprised if we lost 4-0 or worse - did not think I'd be saying that after the first game but they've gone from strength to strength while we've decided we don't like to defend and aren't that keen on attacking either.

 

Good manager and good defence, unfortunately. Can only see a loss at the weekend.

 

We have some good players aswell thing is I don't think some want to be here and we look like a group of strangers God knows what we have been doing in training but can we blame it on a pair pre season? Only for so long.

 

This feels like the 19/20 season over again. Great opening day win then abject failure until Struber came in and shored up the defence.

 

Who on earth laughed at you for saying those 2 games were hard? I dont think they're very clued up on league 1!
