I can,t see us bringing in one that’s proven it means us parting with cash which we don,t like doing.
Still trying to fathom out why we brought in 3 young unproven centre backs when we only needed one plus one experienced one.

Goals win you promotion. We’ve recruited too many similar strikers in Watters, Shaw and Dallas. If we could get someone like Nombe in I’d even consider loaning Dallas out.
Think Iseka and Shaw will be shipped out this week anyway.

I think Tedic would compliment our other strikers.6ft 3in good at hold up play and decent in the air.A year older and stronger he wouldn't be a player I'd write off.

Not sure how much longer you give Watters a start 4 games he's started and yet to show much,Dallas got his chance and didn't take it. I would say mcatee and marsh looked lively when they came on I would think one of them will start next Saturday. I would hope we bring in a more target man type (hairy arse optional)to balance things out as I think we have a lot of similar type forwards.

While I agree we can’t form an opinion just yet, could you imagine Dallas or Shaw coming on and having a similar effect?

No. I might be misunderstood with that original post, I meant we can’t see him as the answer yet based on one cameo against 10 men. Not denying he was impressive.

I will take a punt and say that I think that we will push the boat out and sign Nombe from Exeter. We have the million in sales already and I am banking on the fact that Collins likes to play with a traditional target man striker, which Nombe is and which we don't currently have. Nombe seemed to be waving goodbye to the Exeter fans at the end of yesterday's win over Reading, in which he came on as sub and chested down the pass from which Exeter won the game in added time. Well, it's reputed to be us, Rotherham, or Wrexham and I have a hunch that the other two might not have matched our offer. Would be the missing piece amongst the current strikers and, yes, I would think that it would mean one, or two of Shaw, or Dallas going out on loan. TBW, we also need an experienced defender while Cundy and McCarthy are still unavailable, so possibly a loan and my top tout is Caleb Taylor from West Brom, either until January, or for the season. One good League One season behind him last season with Cheltenham Town and son of Martin Taylor, once of Birmingham City.

According to the official site, he is a forward.

McAtee has the ability to eclipse Norwood's goal contribution, so if we're looking for a forward then it's probably for tactical reasons.

My preference would be to sort CB. I did think that Kitching, Williams + 1 other would be good enough, but we need an organiser and Kitching isn't it. Apparently Brum are after a new CB, which could leave Robbo surplus to requirements. Someone like him on a season long loan would be perfect. If that were to happen, I think I'd be happy to take the money for Kitching. I like him but I think Mads covered for some of his deficiencies and we just need a more composed presence. I believe Shepherd was signed as a development player but his performances so far have earnt him a place with the senior squad, so it'd be either him, Lopata, Cundy, or Mael alongside Williams and the new CB. Then with the money from Kitching and possibly Styles we could afford Nombe to give us that extra element up front.

Thomas I hope your right nombe is just the type of striker we need aggressive, holds the ball up,quick and scores goals I just can,t see us splashing out a million although I think we will reap the benefits in the long run.

I’d like to see us sign a physical striker, just to have another option. The prices quoted for Nombe and the Wimbledon one seem excessive for us though.

Cole is clearly our main man. Keep him fit all season and he could get 25 given he’s already on 5. I saw that he’s got 30 goals for us now, I’d love him to reach 50 before the season is out.

I hope Watters gets one soon because the longer it goes on, the harder it will get. Hopefully once he gets one, he can get some confidence.

McAtee I wouldn’t say is an out and out striker like the above 2 mentioned. I’d say he’s more of a number 10 just off a striker. Be interesting to see how we fit him in our formation.

Before his cameo at the weekend, I’d have said Marsh probably out loan but seems like he’s forcing his way into the squad a bit.

Dallas I’m not quite sure about yet so I guess we’ll have to see. Shaw the same but as he seems to have lost his place in the squad, I can see him leaving before the window shuts.

Iseka doesn’t really count does he.

Yes we have numbers but not much quality. 2 in. 2 out on loan.

Not sure how you draw that conclusion. He's hardly spent any time on the field but has already notched.

Depends if they want a better chance at promotion. In League 1 they have a better chance of the non league players performing well and been sold for profit. In the championship the gulf in class will be too high, limit playing time or will just result in us getting hammered like the last championship season.
