Thoroughly enjoyed these Championships. Excellent coverage and commentary. Brilliant performances by Katarina J.T. and Josh Kerr. But standout performance must be Duplantis. Lots of countries who normally feature in the medal table didn't this year - no German medals - one French - one? Chinese. Where were the South Africans/Australian/New Zealand athletes? Not sure if the dominance of the USA with Jamaica a close second is a good thing for the sport. Question over the GB women's 400 metre medal - one of the quartet in the earlier qualifying rounds under investigation for missing a drugs test. Dinah Asher-Smith suggests her not brilliant performance may be due to a neurological issue. And a strange interview from Ingerbritsen after he had won the 5000 metres. Some of the winning margins in the shorter sprints down to thousands of a second. Where exactly is the camera and what part of the body do they focus on ? - can any recording equipment be so accurate?
Really enjoyed this world championships with good analysis apart from the one lass who seemed to lack knowledge or any athletic background. At least been didn't completely ruin it by sticking Balding on there, thank heavens for small mercies. Josh Kerr & Ben Pattison for me as outstanding performances for the UK. Overall Femke Bol, very unassuming champion.
I thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Really pleased for KJT and Josh Kerr. Kerr in particular an unexpected gold. Nod to Pattison for his perfect performance BBC coverage good but they do annoy me a bit talking too much when there are field events they could be showing. The team they have is excellent though. Favourite non Brit was Femke Bol. To recover from the bizarre fall in the mixed relay to get 2 golds showed what a strong athlete she is and to get the gold in the 4x400 was a stunning run
We've really enjoyed watching these championships, some excellent performances from the athletes and now looking forward to the Olympics next year, roll on
Enjoyed field events more than most track events - the commentators brilliant. But liked the long distance track events where a lot of tactics came into play. Am a massive fan of Duplantis - A question - do the pole-vaulters bring their own vaulting-poles? Also is the US/Jamaica dominance bad for the sport - if a country has no athletes that have a chance against them then there isn't going to be much interest from those countries??
