So far only Gavin Whyte from Portsmouth has been called up, some of their fans appear to be speculating it must have been us who got that match called off, cos they can't figure out who else is likely to get called up from their side.
Hope we kick up a fuss, if they've done an Ipswich.

Need to check their own site then.

Pompey’s League One match at Barnsley – scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 9 – has been postponed.

The Blues have exercised their right to call off the fixture after receiving three international call-ups.

A new date for the game at Oakwell Stadium will be announced in due course.

I assume they were saying it in jest. With the exception of their Australian bloke, all the other likely candidates are injured or suspended and haven't been playing, in poor form. Looks like Portsmouth jumped the gun and could be left looking silly.

I wonder if the decision can be reversed. But more to the point why isn't a decision delayed until all are verified. I suspect their fans are livid. Lots not bothering to travel due to it now being a midweek game. Plus some of ours tbf.

I thought this couldn’t be done in league one?!? Somebody have a word….

Might make him more likely to turn down a move even if someone meets the release clause, now he's seen he can still play international Football with us.

    I’ve always thought the same.

He’s on better money with his new contract. If he’s playing, the team are doing well and he’s getting picked for the Internationals, he’s less likely to feel the ‘need’ to go. And will only go for the right team.

The Millwall Chairman’s death will have had an impact on their business. And Watford are a crazy team at times with changes of staff etc. Too risky for him there .

On Saturday, immediately after the game, when the rest of the team (and squad and coaches) went over to celebrate the victory with the travelling Barnsley fans, Styles turned on his heels and walked up the tunnel on his own.

Interesting. I like styles, I think he’s a really good footballer

but I don’t think he’s quite as good as he thinks he is. He doesn’t look motivated to me, which is strange when he clearly wants to leave.

will be best for all parties if he moves on, let’s hope someone meets the release clause. If they don’t, he’s going to have to considerably up his game. He hasn’t exactly been tearing league one up…

He should be looking head and shoulders above anything he’s playing against at this level and he just doesn’t look arsed. Not sure that’s something that would appeal to me as a prospective buyer either tbh.

Looks obvious to me that he doesn’t care much for the club or the fans. I can’t see him doing too much this season for us if he stays.

Full strength XI and he doesn’t start.

Part of one of the worst performing Barnsley sides ever, couldn't wait to chuff off on loan last season and looks like he doesn't want to be here this season.
