Been off the forum for a few weeks so the OP is new to me. Oh dear, the standard of anti-fan is getting a tad poorer, and it wasn't a high bar to begin with....
I have joined this forum in a frustrating summer for the fanbase, that said I was heaping praise on the pontefract maldini after wigan
Yeah they have but if as usually happens and they swap divisions with us next season he might turn up at oakwell when they sell him on lol
Currently I'd say Rotherham are the more attractive option for an experienced player. For an up and coming player it's us 100%. It's all about where they are in their career compared to where the two clubs are currently. As for the thing about the stadiums. Rubbish. Oakwell has one awful stand, the other three are fantastic regardless of what people with an agenda of wanting a new out of town soulless bowl try to claim. The kits? Awful from the club but I don't think a player cares. Pre season friendlies? I doubt players have any idea about that.
So because the OP is pointing out a few home truths/reality of where we are or his opinion he should expletive off and support someone else ? FFS
Oakwell is a great stadium better than new york in some ways, I was trying to refer more to the maintenance and upkeep. The side of the ponty is grubby Theres broken glass on west stand wall I've spotted those plants from the old school across the road starting to grow in the stadium premises
Because his diatribic negativity is both boring and bandwagoning. Personally, I just don't get it. Why oh why continually abuse, destroy the one's you (apparently) love. Yes, in the world today, no is the easy word, as is negativity and anger the easy emotion. I just ask why? It doesn't move things forward, nor does it help personal positivity and mental health. Something everyone should consider and be aware of their own impact on others.
What do you mean by the side of the ponty is grubby? I don't sit in it or really look at it much so not sure what you mean. The plants and general maintenance is something I've noticed too. It's not anything that would affect a player signing or owt but I have noticed overhanging branches, weeds and a few overgrown bushes that wouldn't take more than a day to go round, trim back bushes and put weedkiller down. I praised the club recently for the paint job they've done and said the little things make a big difference so likewise I'll say the weeding and little things there would make a big difference too.
It just looks like it needs a jetwash. Slowly overtime that side of the ponty has looked more tired and dirty In regards to the new York stadium it's all pristine, which was my point
I meant more along the lines of what do you mean by side? Are you talking about a particular side of the stand? Just curious to be honest. New York is pristine but don't forget their training facilities are two football pitches behind a couple of portacabins and a big shed that shares a carpark with a pub and Sunday league team.
Nothing but NOTHING beats Oakwell owd warrior, it's Hallowed, it's Home, it's Everything & will always be. Do not let anyone tell you any different.
100% but surely that includes the glass half fullers going hell for leather against someone daring to have a negative opinion, works both ways
Well this lad from Exeter has joined Rotherham no doubt for a variety of reasons, but the main one is that Rotherham’s manager was the guy who signed him for Exeter when he was manager there. Couple that up with playing in a higher league and there was no way he’s choose us over them, although I imagine that Rotherham being prepared to pay the asking price and us not could well be another factor.
At our level, I'd wager players don't give a flying **** about stadium maintenance or owt like that. If they did, then all our lads would never have gone to Luton. I reckon its this... 1. How much money? 2. How long is my contract? 3. What are the aims of the club?
We've been after Sam Nombe all summer. Matt Taylor told a mutual friend a while ago, although it wasn't in the supermarket. He was bemoaning the fact that we'd made an offer for a player he wanted, but Rotherham couldn't get anywhere near our bid. And that was our initial bid, one that was rejected, not the one that was eventually accepted. I guess Rotherham decided to dig deep, back their manager and offer, what is for them, a record fee, to match ours. Nombe chose to play for his former manager in a higher division. We missed out, it happens, and it happens a lot if a team from a higher division become interested in your targets.
Are you called PeniRed because you are a Penis? You talk some proper *****. Hugill is a terrible player.
