    Good signing this I reckon.

Target man so something different to what we already have and on a permanent deal, following a free transfer. Can’t grumble at that.

Birmingham paid Aberdeen £2.5m for him 2 and half years ago.

Good business. Adds something we don’t have and a free.

Wonder if he can play tomorrow. Wouldn't our head physio already be down south when the photo with Cosgrove was released? Maybe they drove down together after the team coach had departed.

Class signing this, wanted us to look at him when he was at Aberdeen but he went to Birmingham for a decent fee. To get him a on a free is unbelievable business. Will be perfect strike partner for Cole and could be used in a big and little strike partnership with likes of Marsh or Jalo.

Maybe a few apologies can be given out by some fans now about dallas leaving on loan? Yes, it looked like it was scattergun, but in hindsight perhaps it just so happens that we came upon an opportunity later on in the window and had a little bit more to spend on wages.

Good signing. Definite and more than adequate replacement for Norwood (who i loved). He's younger, but i hope he can get under the skin of the opposition as much, and of course score as many goals!

No need for anybody to apologise. Getting rid of Dallas as soon as he's come in might come across as slightly less weird given this, but it's still extremely odd.

None of expected wed get anywhere near 5 million for Kitch. Its not that much different him going on loan now instead of in a few months in Jan, when we've been able to pay more in wages to a more established player. The apology thing was a little tongue in cheek, point being perhaps just take a breath before jumping on club. At least wait half an hour till window shut

I think with cosgrove folk saying he ain’t scored many goals but he ain’t played consistently for anybody now he will think he will rip this league up.quite a while since we have had a mobile centre forward can,t wait.

Should be a good signing but its strange how we've gone from bidding a million ( allegedly) to getting someone in on a free' pr stunt maybe' just think though the rumour is Clark harris was going to Bristol rovers for £800.000 but it fell through' so we have Anderson gone for 3 mill' Kitching for 4 mill and Cosgrove brought in with just his wages to find' what a signing Jch would have been aswell for a million or so' he scores for fun at this level it would have been a proper statement of intent by the club..

I think there's a much bigger factor in Dallas going out on loan, possibly two.

Dallas wasn't signed as one of the two main strikers for this season. The recruitment team saw a player with potential and he was signed as a back-up striker who would hopefully develop into one of our two main strikers, getting minutes on the pitch from the subs bench. The new manager has come in and had a look at him, and also got to look at a young lad who was out injured all last season after fracturing his foot while out on loan at Scunny. By the looks of it, Collins believes Marsh is currently ahead of Dallas. He selected both in the squad last weekend, but it was Marsh he brought on.

We've got Cole, Watters, McAtee and Cosgrove all offering something different. Dallas offers something different again and I believe he'd still be here if Marsh hadn't impressed the manager so much.

Worst case scenario is Dallas goes up to Scotland and fails to make an impression. The punt on the free signing doesn't work out. Best case scenario is the 5 strikers above all score plenty of goals for Barnsley while Dallas bags 20 for Kilmarnock and next season he's challenging for a place in the team.

    And we've also got Jalo...

Cosgrove is a great signing. Reckon we must’ve had to pay up a lot of his contract at Brum which is why there’s no fee.
However way we’ve got him it’s a good one. Fair play to Khaled and the team…..for a change.

Very excited about this one. Was at Norwich - Brum in the league cup last year. Cosgrove came on and completely changed the game, big and physical, but with a great touch and eye for a pass - he'll do well for us!

    Large upgrade on Tedic.
