Just arrived at our Airbnb in near Poznan after an epic day on the road, taking in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and most of Poland. Our host had left a note and a bottle of wine in the fridge "to cool down after your journey". It's a cheap as chips bottle of Bulgarian plonk, but right now after 12 hours on the road, it tastes as good as the finest Sancerre. An absolutely wonderful gesture.
One, in Estonia. I had a read and apparently since Brexit they can't send fines to the UK. A "benefit" at last
Be careful with that one. Be sure to check it out . And get your cruise control / speed limiter set on the way back lol. Enjoy your trip. It is on my to do list ,we're on our way home. Cross the chanel today.
I triggered one in Paris last year and never heard anything, so I'd imagine you'll be safe like you say
The only problem you might have is when the Schengen visa thingy comes in and they check your records and find you owe a fine...
Sounds great. Dipped the toe in with a road trip to France and Belgium with the kids for the first time and it's given me the bug again!
That was my thoughts entirely. I try not to let them cash in on me , with me being a tight Yorkshire man ,so I make sure cruise control is set.
Did it 13 years ago can't fault it. So much easier finding overnight stop overs. Found a brilliant stopover in Canterbury. Amazing initiative from their council. £8 for 24 hours .park n ride too into city. Waste water and fresh water available too. Pity rest of UK don't utilise these open spaces more.
Once had a holiday rental in Cornwall. The place cost us about 800 quid for the week. There was a bottle of milk in the fridge when we got there. As we were packing up to leave the owner came round and tapped us up for the money for the milk, that we hadn't even asked for.
