As i've said Watters was pointless signing Dallas and Shaw nowhere near good enough You could play Cosgrove and Norwood together as they are very different players or rotate them
Getting back on track..... It seems a pretty good interview - he says all the right things. Fingers crossed he does well for us.
You can never tell how a signing is going to work out but every indication is that this is a great signing. I too liked Norwood but he's gone. He was good but where he ended up is probably a reflection of his current potential. Somebody thought Cosgrove was worth £2,500,000 at one point. He looks just the player we need with some aerial threat we haven't had since Moore. Reckon he'll set a good few up for Cole as well. I'm optimistic.
Bolton and Wigan are about the same distance to the city centre as Oldham, how come they weren't after Norwood?
Can't see the point of the Norwood comparisons myself. Cosgrove will either be good, in which case hurrah, or he'll be crap in which case boo. Lets give the bloke a chance on his own terms and see if he strengthens us. Personally, if we are going to compare with past strikers I think he won't be as good as David Hirst but my comparison is irrelevant as well.
Aye, but he was a fictional character whereas Fellatio Nelson was a real bloke. Kiss me Hardy? Aye or8!
This is getting off track again so after this i'm going to end it there. Wrexham might have expressed an interest but they didn't sign him, also if he did sign for them then surely it would put to bed your argument of him not being able to drive? Also to suggest they could sign anyone in the championship is very fanciful bordering on delusional. One player is on the bench for a national league team at 32 years old with his best days behind him, the other has just signed for us from the championship after playing for the league one champions on loan last season. Lets get behind our player. You reds.
We needed to offer him at least another season on top of that to keep him. If he was satisfied with just the one year deal he wouldn't have left.
