Are you going to offer your own thoughts?

The front 3 of the 4-3-3 don’t play as wingers, that would be 4-5-1. There’s a point in having all these different formations, even though it is nuanced in some circumstances.

The counter argument for that would be if you have a lot of inexperienced defenders, why would you put more on the pitch?

The RB would be Williams, who can defend. We’ve also got Dodson, which would make a very solid back 4.

I think back fours are inherently more solid than back 3’s.

utterly bonkers. You’ve advocated the full backs playing as the furthest forward attackers and also claimed that a back by 4 is more solid than a back 3.

We have wing backs on either side in Cotter and Cadden who are frightening defences and provide. Cole with chance after chance. And we have two more in O’Keefe and Dodgson who are capable of the same. In Cole we have an in-form striker scoring goals and in Cosgrove a big target man. We have further strikers in Marsh and McAtee, who are both also capable of converting chances. So to play without wingbacks would be stupid. Just like in 2016 where we had the Hourihane-Winnall link up providing us with plenty of goals, you need to play to your attacking strengths.

I'm gonna get you a T shirt with the phrase 'Utterly Bonkers' and leave it in the club shop for you, clearly a favourite saying for you. Have you thought about doing a youtube channel maybe commenting on football, you could shout it at the end of each video like a catchphrase? Utterly Bonkers!!

Read any systemic breakdown of 433, there's an attacking system and a defensive system - or watch how Liverpool play with TAA and Robertson.

Understood, but against two of the better teams in the league (on current standings), we conceded 3 goals a piece, and were all over the place defensively.

If that continues to be the case against the leagues better teams, then it wouldn't be the worst idea to have another, potentially more solid system we could adopt.

Also, I didn't suggest 433 as a replacement, merely an alternative.

Do you drop a centre back or a centre forward to accommodate this?

Any formation with a back 4 and Cadden would be the one to miss out due to him being a natural wing back.

But if I had to pick one I’d go for the diamond and play:

    Roberts
    Williams Łopata McCarthy McCart
    Russell
    Kane Connell
    Phillips
    Cole Cosgrove
