Cheers mate, it's sad but I'm ok with the decision I've made. I'll not be there in person but I will be there in spirit, Oh Yes. :)

Plenty of pubs to drink on match days. I like the Shakespeare. Do a decent Perry in there and it used to be on offer too.

Also as for falling out of love with the club not really just some the folk behind the scenes. They'll never take away my feelings towards BFC.

Trust me. As someone who can't get to Oakwell anymore it's just not the same following from a distance.
Again, I like you as a poster on here, you seem a sound bloke but we all over react at times. From what appears to have happened it sounds like it was inevitable you were going to get some sort of sanction. There's no real damage done on either side. Get back to Oakwell. There'll be no substitute watching on TV as opposed to being in the ground when the goal goes in that clinches us promotion.
Anyway, that's me done on this one mate, I hope you make the right choice.

Not really, it was his own decision, nothing to do with the club. Its a shame its happened the way it did, its a shame he's decided to, in my opinion, blow it all out of proportion, but its his choice still.

If someone had videod someone acting like him, who were at the time representing the club in a restricted area, who wasn't known on here, thered be a melt down regarding his actions

I think this is a big part of the issue, especially from the club's PoV. To any third parties this is a guy in a part of the ground that holds no fans, therefore everyone in there, be it a ball boy, photographer, steward or whatever, is effectively representing the club in some capacity. Therefore effing and jeffing, whether at Reds, the opponents or the officials, is something the club could be held to account for. There had to be some action taken.

I'm no saint. There are many occasions where I've had an initial reaction that has been along the lines of "You're effing useless Cole!". But that reaction passes quickly and is replaced by commenting on the quality of the pass to create the chance, the vision involved and even Cole's persistence to be in the right place etc.

I can think of no scenario where I would feel comfortable with swearing and berating someone for simply having 'a bad day at the office'.

Sent an E-mail this aft to the club, was an heartfelt no holds bar apology, short but sweet. I acted both badly & child like & I cannot for the life of me understand why I did it but what is done is done, The club is in no way responsible of my behaviour Or the outcome
of me being banned that is all on me & I'm ok with that. I hold my hands up & take full responsibility. The B/S I posted earlier in this thread I also apologise for, boy am I getting old, lets hope that's all it is. Anyway here's hoping I can enjoy you all you scally's in the future on the BBS. X

Silly sod. Glad you've seen sense and hopefully the club will take the apology as it's intended

That’s brilliant to hear. Something similar happened to me a few years ago. I flipped inside the ground and just completely lost my head for a minute or so. I don't even remember what it was over. The steward pulled me into the concourse, told me I had just behaved completely out of character and asked if I was ok, as she had never seen me do anything like that. She told me it wasn’t acceptable, and asked me to take 5 before going back in. Brilliant display of stewarding.

Anyway, I guess what I’m saying is it can happen to anyone. What’s most important is the steps you’ve just taken. A lot would have dug their heels in, which is kinda where I thought you’d gone until now. So pleased you’ve gone the right way.

Well done. Glad to have you back.
