Or what tool would you recommend people get? I have a basic tool collection so what would you recommend adding?

Now you've set me wondering how they could be used by you as a sex tool. Perish the thought btw.

On a more serious note, I find a bradawl to be essential. It's only a little thing, but it makes such a difference.

A multi-head screwdriver set, a drill and a hammer. If you can't do if with those, ring someone who can before you cause damage and end up paying more to fix your mistakes...

    Tools I use most
Electtic Screwdriver/drill with multi heads - also a manual ratchet one which uses the same heads
    Hammer
    Bradawl
    Pliers
    Black and Decker workmate

    Less often
Saws (Hacksaw, Tenon Saw, Panel Saw) - I also have a powered reciprocating saw but find thats no good for any precision
    Chisels

The one thing I would probably add is an angle grinder but have borrowed on on the rare occasions I needed it

( if you want to do tiling a tile cutter and tile saw are essential, and wall papering needs a paste table and brush and good long scissors
