The people with an agenda against Hecky are laughable. He didn’t win promotion the (awful) Lee Johnson did. He relegated us despite not being manager. We really gave some genius fans

Who ever said Lee Johnson got us promoted? He did get us to a final and win 7 on spin before hecky took over. Hecky was manager for over half a season the season we went down he was partly responsible no matter what you say.

    Nuts isn't it.

Some of our fans have weird agendas about people who are successful for us and then leave. Hecky was absolutely shafted by January 2017 - and did his level best even as far as answering the fecking phones. Nobody could blame him for finally thinking fck this I'm done.

The fact that some folk are seemingly defending Morais over him is truly, truly bizarre.

Of course it’s been bitter. If you twist every little thing a manager does to suit your chosen narrative it has to be bitterness.

All through the same window he was giving interviews saying we didn’t need another central midfielder & that he wanted another striker to play 4-4-2 & then we (briefly) got McBurnie he was saying he was delighted to get him so he could play two up top.

I think you’re reading way too much into press conferences & interviews. If a young kid signed on loan from a premier league club tomorrow what do you think Collins says even if he’s never seen him? ‘I’ve never seen him play’ or ‘I’ve been watching him & I can see him been a big player for us’ etc. You have to as a manager get your players on board.

You can’t sit there going ‘I don’t really rate him but James & the data analysts like him’.

You only needed to see the team selection to know that he thought both Thiam & Ugbo were useless. He only played either of them when Bradshaw was knackered.

If the stuff you’re coming up with are the best examples of why he wasn’t that good it probably means he was a great manager for us as they’re nearly all easily refutable

I understand there's alot of sentiment towards hecky due to him getting us promoted from league one. But the season he went down he had a mare that 1st half.
When he briefly got McBurnie he benched him for his last game in charge away at qpr. The football we played was awful the big hoof to Bradshaw, leaving pinnock out as 4th choice defender. Loaning mowatt out, publicly blaming the players (or anyone he could to divert it from him) that season we shouldn't have gone down a team with Davies, pinnock, lindsay, yiadom, Harvey Barnes, Joe Williams, Gardner, mowatt, Bradshaw, hammill should have picked up more points.
The fact he played 1 up top at the next 2 jobs suggests he liked to play 1 up top.

you take every opportunity to slag off Hecky. You clearly have an agenda. Johnson also got us to the bottom of L1 after 7 consecutive defeats and some of the worst performances I’ve ever seen.

A team with Hourihane/Scowen/Winnall/Toney/Davies/Mawson/Roberts/Hamill/Bree/Brownhill should have walked that league with 100+ points instead Hecky saved us from a Johnson’s incompetence .

Similar to how you take every opportunity to slag Johnson off he's in your head rent free mate.

Hammill coming turned the season around.

His comments aren't going down too well, due to the fact united time wasted at every opportunity. Also his keeper handled outside the area got away with just a yellow and maddison should have had a pen. I think he is feeling the pressure.

The keeper didn't get away with anything, it was rightly given as a free kick and a yellow?

Why is it looked at as a so called 'agenda' against Hecky, when fans give their own opinions that happen to be against him ?.

I think it’s that he doesn’t talk about the added time given yet people who clearly haven’t listened to what he’s said have decided that’s what he’s complaining about just to stick the boot in.

The sort of stuff he’s moaned about is probably what many of us have moaned about at Oakwell. It is ridiculous that you can pick up yellow cards for talking to a referee (not been abusive) & get the same punishment for reckless challenges.

The double standards were at play yesterday when Pickford’s screaming & swearing at a referee & wasn’t punished. The implementation of the rules seems to be different in every game.

I do totally agree with that Dj.
But I'm talking about when fans criticise him for the end of his time here, when I/we think he'd lost it and didn't seem interested anymore. :(

I haven't watched the interview, and don't have an opinion on whether whatever he said was right or wrong. However in principle I totally agree with the new time wasting laws. Long overdue. If anything I'd personally go further and add MORE time than the amount being wasted. Time wasting has become one of the worst parts of the modern game IMO. And what's worse is managers actively coach it into the players - 'gamesmanship' and 'dark arts' is what they call it. AKA 'cheating'. Diving and dissent the same. Cards are pointless. It's only when teams start losing points and players as a result of their cheating, will they pack it in.

Unfortunately many refs are still useless and it won't be applied fairly for all teams. But it's a step in the right direction. The first game at Oakwell this season, there was summat like 15 minutes added on. The game could have been won and lost in that time. Risk of injuries is also obviously higher. Since then I've hardly seen any time wasting.

Naturally managers aren't gonna like it, as it's taken away one of their biggest weapons. Tough. If you want to run the clock down and stop them scoring, keep hold of the ball.

It's because he got us promoted so fans don't like to critisise him. Infact he could have played Adam Davies as a striker and some fans would have excused it and sang he's one of our own while he took us down the leagues. I don't think he was interested in the summer he got a new agent I think he wanted out then. The leeds move was good for him decent pay day.

The time wasting rules are ok if applied equally , Arsenal yesterday were slow timing but got away with it , only 4 minutes added with about 5 subs a goal celebration and numerous taking an age over free kicks , corners , goal kicks , even the commentators were commenting on it
