His career is not over at all, the heavyweight division is wide open. Currently, he’s one win away from a big fight. That’s how bad the state of the division is. Nobody want to fight anybody. I’m gutted for the lad. Such a good fighter that’s found his match, unfortunately.
Gutted for him. He was definitely the most likeable British heavyweight for me. In hindsight it was stupid putting him in there with Zhang. He’d already got a title shot lined up after beating Dubois & Parker & really didn’t need a near 7 foot southpaw as an opponent. Can still have some big fights & paydays but he’s nearly 40 & was having wars in the amateurs over a decade ago so it’s probably all downhill from here.
I wouldn't say his career is over, there's still fights to be had if he wants them. I've always expected him to be found out at the very top level though, he lacks movement.
You could be right. Frank’s got Zhang on a promotional deal. Despite only a tiny percentage the Chinese population watching Zhang’s fights that amount is still massive compared to what fighters in the west have watching them. I’d imagine he’ll make a fortune off of a Zhang world title fight.
