BOLTON HOME CLASH POSTPONED Club News Our scheduled meeting with the Whites on Saturday 14 October will now be moved due to international call-ups. Continue reading on the official site...
Becoming all too common this cancelling way in advance in the hope certain players are called up, don’t agree with it nor should it be allowed….. Ipswich seem to have set the trend from last season.
this is an awful season to be involved in any club who takes more than a minibus of fans is on midweek as if this league is not pop & crisp enough
Another home defeat. I'm convinced the match v Portsmouth might have had a different outcome had it been a Saturday. Hate Tuesday night games.
It's ridiculous but no one seems bothered cos the only ones adversely affected are the fans. Nearly all L1 matches postponed last time, the majority of which did not end up having 3 or more first team players per team called up, but nothings done about it. Teams are now including u21s, u18s who don't even play for the first team. It's a farce, but no one cares.
Bad luck that it's another home game or is there something more sinister; like the lack of penalties?
From a selfish point of view, I wasn't able to make that game and now maybe I can, depending on when it is.
This is such ********. "Ooooh we can't possibly do without a couple of players who might be called up to Equatorial Guinea's U20 side". You're in League 1 you chumps, one of the only highlights is not having to deal with international breaks!
I can make Saturday home games. I can’t do midweek evening ones so that’s now 2 matches I am going to miss I’m surprised Bolton have 3 players who would normally be in their match day squad who are likely to be called up
For the last international break, Bolton had 5 players called up. 2 x Northern Ireland 1 x Wales 1 x Wales u21 1 x Rep Ire u21 Only 2 of them are first team players who started the last 2 games.
Given that these postponements usually kill any momentum we had stone dead, we'll obviously win the next 3
A rare plus of this league was supposedly no international breaks....Clubs are taking the piss again. Nobody had been called up yet so why is it cancelled.
Fleetwood got their game postponed last time because they had a Scottish u18, 2 Northen Irish u19s and a Montserrat full international, called up, all of whom are Academy players with no first team experience. That really is bonkers.
When I originally booked my trip home, there were five home games. The Manchester City game was tentatively penciled in the fixtures list for October, but was then brought forward to tonight. Now the Bolton game is postponed. I suppose I'll just have to enjoy the three games which are left, weather permitting.
