Do you think we've lost our high press...we've kept the same shape but I feel the high press has gone which is what's supposed to be our foundation and reasoning behind choosing certain managers?
    Thoughts?

We don’t have players to do it imo. Norwoods role was closing down and generally just being a bit of a nuisance upfront and he did it well.

Think the val season spoiled us a little with that as dike and morris would chase down and then be taken off after 60/ 65 mins and their replacements would press. Don’t have the energy up front to do that now unfortunately and haven’t since those players left.

Seemed pretty high and effective against Burton, also led to Styles goal last weekend. I’d say we do press high, it’s just not as mad as under Val.

The high press was watered down after Val. And again after Duff imo.

I don't think it's as simple as just changing the high press. It looks to me as though Connell's absence and the resulting lack of mobility and security in midfield has forced our hands a little.
