Dunno, Not just the younger ones that can get a bit ott After sitting in the rain for 90 mins, watching us pass the ball across the back and not take any risks going forward I feel I’m within my rights to be negative about yesterdays performance? (yes, I’ll be checking the weather forecast before deciding WSL is a good idea again) People are going to be frustrated and what better place than football forum to come and discuss it with other like minded people. If this forum was all full people with the same opinion and thoughts it would be boring.
lets face it pal cheltenham havent scored in 9 games burton would be towing against penistone bristol rovers battered us northampton were league 2 last year our 5 wins and 4 losses isn't great anyway for promotion ambitions, but its even worse when you consider all that
What is weird is I spoke to a few people before the match, a couple at half time & several in the pub after the match & I’ve not heard anyone slating Collins but on here & on social media I’ve seen loads giving him stick.
What a load of tosh ...... Iv seen some ballax on here but this is up there. You two should do some sort of 'better fan' talks to the horrible and inpatient youngsters....... You might be shocked to realise it isn't just the younger fan base that are frustrated.
has absolutely nothing to do with age by the way you have happy clappers and those who love a moan but most people are in between, like me
Any half decent side For once I agree with you.. the teams we have beaten we should be beating comfortably with the squad we have. That said Roberts has kept us in it in a few of those. The teams we have lost against its been awful stuff to watch and with the players he has he should have done better.. just my opinion.
Read it again. You might be shocked. You might find that my post includes both sides (Most) . I just find that it is predominantly younger folk. NOT ALL. Better fans my arse. another puerile comment.
The same Northampton who beat a very good Exeter team. Football isn't always black and white its a mixture. Looking at scores over the weekend who'd have backed Palace at OldTrafford after their midweek defeat, who'd have backed Villa to score 6 against a very good Brighton. As for opinions I'm all for them Its just that i find after a defeat some go way over the top.Have you noticed when Barnsley win some posters don't even come on the BBS but as soon as we lose they can't wait.Thats why I wonder if its an age thing nothing to do with opinions.
I keep off here until the following day knee jerk reaction are never good I find. I've previously said before I have no idea where we will finish no lower than 10th as there is some proper rubbish in this league. Getting a fit Connell back is pivotal.if he's not back quickly then not fetching a similar player in when we could was a massive mistake Russell isn't and never was the answer and it seems Collins has come to that conclusion too.
It's the comparisons to Poya Asbaghi and Markus Schopp that make me laugh. Collins has won as many games as both of them did combined already. We're also only 1 point behind where we were last season at this stage. Patience and perspective do seemingly elude a lot of football fans though.
You might have something there, when I grew up Barnsley were a 4th division team but I assimilated the elevation to 2nd division under Clarkie and Hunter and became accustomed to that level and have an expectation to be at that level. Looking on a longer timescale, prior to the 1960s we were truly a 2nd Division team (only 4 or 5 seasons outside it) and still hold the record for the most seasons played at that level. I see no reason why we shouldn't be in the Championship, but for a poor referee and a shanked effort from Connell we would be.
my point is schopp lost a lot of championship games 2-1 or 1-0 if he was against much weaker opposition would he be worse than neil collins?
But I'm not sure how that's relevant, or even how to answer it. The stats are, with a Championship team in the Championship, Schopp won 1 game in 16. With a league 1 team in league 1, Neill Collins currently has us 1 point off the play-offs with 36 league games still to play.
Both in the 20/21 and 22/23 seasons, when we reached the Play Offs in the Championship & Division 1 respectively, we had fans complaining. Therefore, it's hardly surprising that after an average start, we have some folk unhappy with the state of things. For me, Collins has still a lot to prove with regards to his team selection and playing style. However, I'm not prepared to demand his removal at this point and am willing to give him more time. If that puts me opposite to others with my viewpoint, I'm quite relaxed about it.
