Not sure but I seem to remember we won 2-1 at Newcastle the week before the Fulham game. Remember standing on the open terrace away end when St James Park was nothing like it is today. Think it was Tony Cunningham’s debut? I might have got this wrong mind…..
I wasn't there (unemployed and living in Cambridge at the time) but listened to the BBC radio and was gutted when we went 3-0 down. How good it must have been in Oakwell at the end though...
I’m a member of that FB group and enjoy reading the scores etc. It’s good that they provide first names as well. I find I can remember most of the scorers listed and it’s nice to see how healthy our crowds were in comparison to a few other bigger clubs. They soon fell away though in the mid-80s and we all know why
