The sheer presence and man management alone would be an uplift to the squad. At the minute it's just very flat and dull.
Absolute no brainier. Downside is we’ve not got a forward line capable of playing Val ball. Even bigger downside is there’s zero chance of it happening.
No because honestly his style of play was boring as ****. It's not a coincidence that it worked with no fans but he's had no success with it when fans have been in stadiums.
Not yet as Collins still deserves a chance but if it came to it, Ismael has been our best manager since Dave Bassett so of course.
God no. It ended up being the worst style of football I've ever had to endure from a Barnsley team, one or two relegations excepted. Started off ok but by the end of the season when we'd been sussed it was atrocious.
I liked it for a while but it became pretty boring especially when teams caught on to it. Long ball hit and run. I
Absolutely. Loved him. How you can say his football was boring, compared to what is currently being dished up is beyond me. Its not like we're gonna be in for Pep, best we can hope for is Warnock and I'd take Ismael's style over that. But, I'd give Collins until end of November. If we are seriously targeting promotion, we should only be dropping points against Bolton and Derby, the rest are teams we should be beating, without trying to sound all Wenesdeh. If we are not top 3 at end of Nov, still looking like its one step forward, 3 back, I'd bite the bullet on Collins, if there's an impressive alternative.
Had he not had the good fortune to pick up Daryl Dike on loan his record might not have been so good.
