NEILL COLLINS ON CAMBRIDGE CLASH Interviews Our Head Coach spoke to the press ahead of our trip to Cambridge United tomorrow evening in Sky Bet League One. Continue reading on the official site...
I hope I'm wrong but I think this guy is massively out of his depth. League 1 Schopp are the vibes I'm getting.
Hes probably played in more EFL games than you've watched.Listen to the experts like Danny Wilson,Mick MCcarthy for example who stated Neill was always destined to be a successful coach.
He's all of 1 point behind where Duff was points wise after 10 games last season isn't he? That's despite having nothing like the standard of player available to him, especially in the centre of defence where he doesn't have one single player of proven L1 quality and is having to patch up with the league's best right wing-back whereas Duff had the best centre back in the division.
Paul Ince has also played alot more top flight and international games than him........ Means nothing
We clearly aren’t as good as we were last year and defensively we probably won’t reach last year’s standards it’s just one of those things we will have to deal with but personally can’t blame Collins for that and the talk of sacking him is embarrassing after 10 games and sitting 7 th in the table.
Collins's demeanour and personality seems dull and dour. Sadly I can only see that any team he coaches will play in a style similar to his personality and demeanour The games that I have seen under Collins management (albeit only the home games) seem to give credence to my point of view. Barnsley fans traditionally like to watch fast paced, entertaining, attacking football. I don't think we will get that under Collins
You could say that about David Moyes as well but he’s done ok in the Premier League. He can be as dull as he likes provided his team plays the kind of football that has me on my feet several times every match
Apart from game v Port Vale, the type of football i witnessed so far hasn't had me on my feet (goal celebrations being the exception)
Agree. And you only see this side of the manager. The player facing side will be different. Jon Stead is no mug either - he wouldn’t be his assistant if he thought he was poor.
