Big shout out to the lady behind the kiosk tonight, never seen someone serve as fast and efficient and to round it off she gave me a free chicken pie for some reason Up them midweek winning reds
Shout out to the travelodge Cambridge who have just given me and my mate 2 free pints each because we helped an elderly gentleman when he fell inside hotel
Yeah I saw that too, a suppose it’s quite odd to comment on kiosk staff but she was just a nice woman…….there’s certainly a better feel about midweek games too, 100% down to not as many folk absolutely blind drunk too
A very friendly place all round, from the guys in the car park through to the catering staff in the fanzone and the press lady keeping us topped up with tea and coffee.
Just want to back this up, from the stewards who gave us directions to the away end, the PCSOs just before the gate, programme seller who asked if we'd been before and pointed out food and bar, the aforementioned lady on the bar and the stewards inside. Sit where you want is always good and I thought there was nearer 800 than the 475 declared. Song of the night...." how shīt must you be, Max Watters scored" .......bit harsh but factually correct. Not a spot of bother, everyone very welcoming and friendly before and after, will certainly be one of the better away days this season.
I shared a similar experience to those that have had good words to say - as soon as we got in a steward or club rep was there telling us where everything was. Home fans created a decent atmosphere too even at 0-4 down. And the ladies in the kiosk got the HT queue down quicker than anything I've experienced at Oakwell, she even sorted me half a pint despite the price list only showing pints. A great result made even better by the respect/friendliness shown by the people at CUFC.
