    A trip to Exeter awaits the reds this weekend, the ground where our late automatic promotion push last season came shuddering to a halt. The hosts are narrow 17/11 favourites to take all 3 points, with the reds as 13/8 outsiders. I believe this is only the second time we've been the bookies underdog so far this season (after Wigan).

    Exeter started the season with 4 wins, a draw and a narrow defeat, to make them the early pace setters. A run of 4 defeats in 5 league games has seen them slip down to 10th place, with a 1-0 home win against goalless Cheltenham, the only points in their last 5 games. Like the Reds, Exeter have garnered more points on their travels so far this season, albeit they've played an extra away game. The Grecians home record is worse than 3 of the 5 sides Barnsley have already taken points from on the road. Despite starting the season strong defensively, Exeter have conceded 9 goals in their last 3 league games, an amount which doubles of you count their cup games too (though it was a weakened side who shipped 9 at home to Reading). Allegedly, they've become very reliant on the form of loanee goalkeeper Vilijami Sinisalo.

    Exeter's double over the reds last season avenged the double we got over them the last time we were in the same division (80/81). That victory was only our second away at Exeter, the first being in 1966, with 9 defeats being peppered in between. Our home record is much better vs the Grecians, with last seasons defeat being only our second in our history.

    Referee Scott Jackson is set to take charge of his first ever league 1 game this weekend. This is his first season as a league referee, therefore he's never taken charge of either the Reds or Exeter previously. He's issued 36 yellows and 1 red card this season so far.

    Given Exeter's dip in form, and alleged defensive frailties, I fancy us to continue our good away form in this one. Our record there does worry me slightly, however I think if we stick with a similar team to Tuesday night, we should have enough to trouble them. I'm going for 0-2 with Cole getting a brace.

    They lost 2-0 at home to Northampton last weekend. I'm being optimistic, 3-1 to us.

    Would love to keep our good away form going but I just don't see us beating them.

    0-0 neither side breaking the deadlock. Which also wouldn't be a bad result - many teams will struggle at Exeter this season.

    Blackpool are the only side that have stopped us scoring this season. I think we'll definitely get at least one goal, playing away seems to suit the tactics better at the moment

    Not sure they are as strong as last year( I say this only knowing they lost that kid to Rovrum) also not sure we can keep winning away so I’ll go for a fence sitting 1-1 with Styles opening for the Reds
