Maybe it was other way round? Maybe he was the start or instigator of all the deep rooted issues inside the club people speak about Khaled having to sort?
He did it as a passing comment not deliberately that’s been confirmed. Not sure what that has to do with if he found Val was leaving & Mowatt if we didn’t go up etc so he jumped ship not the otherway round? Personally I think it will turn out he concentrated more on the football side than the actual club.
That's why I want him back. His footballing decisions were fantastic. I heard it was Conway that didn't want to retain his services as he spent more than Conway and PMG were prepared to do. Subsequently him sounding out Parekh about JAQ's involvement was his parting shot at Conway and the reason Parekh is so heavily involved now.
I don't have a massive opinion on the subject. I'd say overall he's probably done a good job, under difficult circumstances. Some mess ups here & there along the way, but he wouldn't be getting a move if he was useless, let's face it. Barnsley is a stepping stone for players, coaches & CEOs, like most EFL clubs at various levels. If he moves on, I wish him all the best. I've never actually tasted one of the flatbreads BTW. I knock up some great ones at home, but it is curry night tonight, as it happens.
Been working on it for 3 hours now. Marinade & then slow cook. Chicken thighs on the bone. Listening to post punk tunes for my radio show. It doesn't get much better.
Going shopping tonight might get myself one. Fancy Hobgoblin Ruby and some Thai Sweet Chilli crisps too.
That's told me, it's fine you have your opinion and I have mine not make any difference to him if the job suites he will be off.
No doubt the footballing side thrived whilst he was here but the CEO is much more than that and it seems a lot of the underlying issues left behind were there under his watch and not dealt with.
I don't know but if Health and Safety wouldnt release the certificate the remedial work had to be done. Once the issues were confirmed by not only Khaled but Beth and the Supporters Trust I had little to no doubt at all.
He has made inroads into bridging supporter relations but too much water has gone under the bridge, if he goes I’ll not give it a thought I see him as a wolf in Sheeps clothes.
Won't be as good as mine. The fresh coriander has just gone in, with extra ginger. Chapatis ready, with some pickles & sauces.
