The wife has recently took over a sandwich shop and were going to do a pork pie chips peas and special as part of our winter specials menu, I’ve suggested we use a local pork supplier but the question is, which ones the best? Fire away BBS
Personally, I like Speeds but I think your biggest consideration needs to be who will supply them at a price that's low enough for you to be able to offer them at a competitive price for the meal
TBF I’ve not tasted any bad ones locally, you’ll not go wrong with those already mentioned, Speeds, Potters, Turners, also heard Rob Royd Farm shop pies are nice but not tasted them, probably more expensive though.
I had a Rob Royd pork pie on the way to Northampton the other week and I must say they really are top quality. Normally a Percy fan.
Aint had one for 2yrs but i loved, Potters, especially the steak squares, we used to do pie an peas in pub on match day, always sold out, good luck, oh an stock a few gluten free an all.
Potters steak squares are popular in our household, they sell them on that market stall just as you go into the market opposite Boots on Cheapside
