I agree, I thought all the back 3 were very good individually today and look to be growing in confidence.

Have to say I can't remember a centre-half (old terminology) passing via a Cruyff-style play in my time watching Barnsley - I should add: and being successful
He took it upon himself to take the ball forward into midfield a lot, to try and break Exeter's shape, instead of tapping it around at the back like Blackpool. That showed some courage and leadership. I enjoyed the game. But on the whole I thought a lot of our one-touch play was well-intentioned but didn't really come off today. It still feels like there's more to come from this team.
I remember seeing it watching the game but the excitement of the goal distracted from it a bit. What a move that goal is!
That debut was horrendous looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights but with hindsight he was a young lad in a new club in a foreign country not up to fitness and clearly playing out of position. The middle of the 3 he looks assured and positional sense is first class and he's a leader early days but the lad is full of potential.
The lad is pure class. Class. Quality. It's a real joy to see him following in the footsteps of all our other magnificent centre backs of the past.
