A know we’re still way off defensively from last season but a think thé 2 lads in Mael and McCart are starting to show there more than good enough for this league. Gevigney’s first game was purely down to trying way too hard, since then he’s looked very composed and a think we’ve a real player on our hands, you’ll not see many CB’s stroll into the midfield in the last few minutes and nonchalantly play a Croyff turn pass to set a goal up
Is the letter 'I' broken on your keyboard? In all seriousness though, no I don't think Lopata 'walks back in' at all. he did well in the games he played, but Mael has been outstanding the last 3, better I think than any of the performances Kacsper produced. Very healthy competition for places. I don't know whether Collins might want to fit them both in, but Williams and McCart are both doing very sound jobs too, so unless he fancies moving Jordan Williams to RWB I think Lopata might have to be patient trying to get back in.
Sorry Suzie Dent, I Will make sure I try to use better punctuation when I am posting on here as I know it isn’t acceptable. Y’a right though, we might have some good defensive options coming up
I don’t think he does much right or wrong he’s a solid pro. I’m just unconvinced he’s either as good as Lopata or good enough for a promotion challenging team. Good solid guy though and a very dependable squad player.
He did well yesterday, probably his best game. I do agree though I do think he's more of a squad player, however, in saying that, if he does perform consistently as good as he did yesterday, I think he deserves to keep his spot 100%
Christ I wish I had 1/10 of the intellect of Suzie...! This reminds me of years ago, I worked with a lad from Hungary, turns out they use a differently organised keyboard so he had one in his native language. We then started hot-desking. Every day someone different would sit down at this desk and wonder why e's were appearing where they typed a's. I thought maybe you were experiencing something similar with your a's and i's. But yeah, hard as nails defenders. You reds!
The one that has impressed me most. Is, dare I say. Shepherd. Very calm on the ball. Thought he was very unlucky to be left out. But tbh I don't have a favourite among em. They are all pretty much the same standard. And happy to go with Collins selections.
Makes the decision less than routine because we have kept clean sheets but In both games we have given chances away that we will get punished for on other days. That’s when we need to judge.
Mmm....Suzie Dent. Thought I'd wandered into the who would have a go with and not tell your mates thread.
Back 3 with lopata fitting in there , moving Williams to wing back . That's just my opinion. Both o keefe and Cotter weak in a defensive role .
Cambridge had 17 shots against us and Exeter had 13. 30 shots and they couldn't score. It's way too many efforts, but thankfully neither side had their shooting boots on. Our defence is very much still a work in progress and not protecting Roberts enough. I would have Lopata straight back in as we look better with him in the team.
Do we know for sure what Lopata’s injury is? I’m presuming he’s broken a collarbone so how long will he be out if it is?
I'm currently working with colleagues from India on servers in Denmark/Sweden. Every time I login remotely I have to check if it is the Danish, Indian, American or British keyboard layouts...
I think it'll be an excellent problem to have. Personally, I'd select Lopata, but could understand Collins' reasoning if he kept faith with McCart.
Roberts has saved the most shots in the division. Like you say teams are having far too many shots/chances. Exeter had numerous chances and hit the post at the end. Need him back and connell mccart isn't great.
