I'm getting a new telly - I always get Samsung - I just like them. But my question to my BBS brethren is: OLED or Neo-QLED pls. TVM.
Which ever format is cheaper. Unless you're watching an 80" minimum screen from about 4ft, the human eye won't see any difference.
I have the Neo QLED and it's not a deal of difference from the earlier telly as I am only watching on the normal format, no 4k 8k etc. Go for cheapest as already stated.
Let me know what your research leads to Andy as we're going to be replacing a TV soon, likely with a Samsung. Ta.
I have 75” Qled Samsung in room and 65” Qled Hisense in my bar. Only difference I can see is the price with Hisense being almost half the price. Replaced sons tv in his bedroom with Hisense now too far better value for money
Got a Samsung and a LG and both great despite being over 5 yrs old..always look at Jon Lewis for the 5 yr guarantee.
Agree with this. I have a mix of samsung and hisense and I think the latter is better. I also rate Panasonic TVs very highly
Just to counter on the Hisense hype, I had no end of problems with one I bought from Currys. Screen kept going black, couldnt turn it off, had to unplug it from the mains for it to go off. Took it back and swapped it for an LG, no issue whatsoever with the LG.
Hisense are quality panels. Sure, like any brand, you'll get the odd faulty one, but they're about the best bang-for-buck going. FIFA use them at all their tournament venues, including 8k screens running in all the broadcast centres and without fail they look great.
Samsung used to have more Apps , Panasonic was limited With the Apps they provided. However, I am going back a few years
I asked about Televisions here about 3 years ago, the consensus was Hisense are great tvs at a good price, I bought one and am really glad I did I think it was mentioned too that most of the panels for 90% of the companies are now made in turkey, then placed in a frame
We have always had Samsung until we put a Hisense in the young uns gaming room. We are about to get another Hisense for the living room, brilliant quality. Do you use the website rtings.com to calibrate them?
Young un bought his from John lewis.(Very competitive on price, extended warranty included) Can't remember model but there was an issue with it after 12months. Model had been discontinued, he recieved. A much better hi spec tv as a replacement.
I've got 85" Neo-QLED and i love it, I've also got 3 QLED and they are not even close, it's proper black. I watch 4K/HDR stuff along with an home theater setup and it's brill
Another plea. If possible, buy from Richer Sounds. A proper company, that try to do things the right way.
We've got 6 Samsungs and 1 LG, the majority of them are from there along with 2 of my AV Receivers and some of my speakers, they are good and helpful along with the 6 year warranty
