If you could choose another club to be twinned with, which club would be your choice? All clubs from EFL, Scottish league only.
    My choice .... Sunderland.

Accrington or Exeter. Both great clubs.

    Sheffield Wednesday.

I wanna know what it feels like to be such a massive club expecting Champions League every season and to be linked with Pep Guardiola whenever Chansiri fires the bullet.

On a more serious note…..seen as “twinning” generally means “similar”……..I’ve always thought we’ve been kind of on the same trajectory as teams like Preston and Charlton in my time being a Barnsley fan.

Similar grounds and size of fan base. Also had the odd dip into L1 but majority of time in the Championship.

Probably my choice too, my dad was born in Ryhope but moved to Thurnscoe when my grandad's pit closed down. He was transferred to Hickleton. I think my dad was about 12 and had been watching Sunderland but started going to Oakwell.

Similar story, my best mate from years ago his family moved to Barnsley from Sunderland (Silksworth) back in the late 60s for pit work and they were all Sunderland supporters.

My dad's family lived in Silksworth when they moved to Thurnscoe. I would think they must have known each other.....

Edit; my dad moved in 1932 so probably didn't know them. :(

Cheltenham Town. Lovely little club, nice people and their Marchants bus helped us out after the Exeter game. That was a brilliant gesture by the Robins to rescue our lads from the hard shoulder on a Saturday night and then take them all the way to Barnsley.

Must admit I’ve a lot of time for Cheltenham. Couldn’t go this season but went last year and their fans were great.
However if chosing a club for twinning. Has to be Burnley surely

Tea for two and two for tea. Twinings is delightful. Brings a Rosey glow to your cheeks.
