Dony away under mk2 Wilson bloody freezing bottom row of away end so crap view ,really poor game and we lost.
Too many to single out during Asbaghi's time tbh, but one that's always stayed in my mind was away at Sheffield United in February 1988, we lost 1-0 to a last minute Tony Agana goal on what was, I think, his debut for them. It was utter bilge from start to finish, can't remember us having a shot on target. We signed David Currie during the week after this.
Yeah 0-0's are absolute toss aren't they lol. I/we went into the new East stand for the first time in season '92, just to see what it was like. It was a Wensdy night match and the weather was awful, really cold and really windy. And I think it rained as well. And it was an awful Notts County team who came and stole a point with a 0-0. But we couldn't break through and beat them, so they were happy with the result.
Was that Plymouth game the one where John Dennis went into the dressing room either at half time or full time and gave the team (and Machin) a piece of his mind?
Donny away under Wilson mk2. Absolutely freezing cold, not a single incident to get you out of your seat, Holgate sent off in dying minutes. Lost 1 nil. Awful. Or Altrincham away in cup under likkle Lee. Open terrace, freezing, pished it down throughout. No shots on target. Lost 1 nil.
Got to mention the 7 nil drubbing at the Hawthorns, last game of 06/07 season under Davey. We were safe before kick off but that was truly horrible stuff to finish a season.
Altrincham away is a very good shout. I think I'd obliterated that from my memory. till you just mentioned.
Middlesbrough at home in the cup. Was sat in the east upper. Freezing, full of cold, lost 2-0 I think under Wilson. Special mention to Preston away when we played them on boxing day.
I was at that game and had the pleasure of standing behind Kelvin and Ashley,an experience to say the least. Both good lads by the way.
Didn't he run off with supporters club money.I,m wracking my brains out now for the other blokes name.
I wanted Peterborough too. For same reasons. Knew we'd lost before I got on coach. Maybe personal circumstances gave me that feeling in pit of my stomach but the whole day had an ominous feel.
Not sure B. Summat rings a bell. I remember someone (A turnstile operator) buggering off to Blackpool with the gate money lol. "WILL 'SO AND SO'? PLEASE REPORT TO THE CLUB OFFICE" over the tannoy Several times lol.
