What an absolute load of ********. If there’s too many South Yorkshire teams playing Saturday, why punish the minnows travelling up for a big tie at a much bigger club? Why not shift another game? Absolute joke.
Criminal decision SYP. Why not the sunday. Or Donny v Accrington sunday. By car Donny v Accrington 1.5hrs 85 miles Barnsley v Horsham 4hrs 215 miles
Any of Sheff Utd v wolves, Rotherham v qpr, or Donny v Accrington should have been moved before this. Feel so sorry for the Horsham players, staff and fans. They would mostly all be working Friday, players included. This is an absolutely criminal decision.
Why does it even need policing? I’d be amazed if they bring more than 500 and I’d imagine they’ll have no real risk element, SYP are a joke at times
Low chance of bother and ruining our opponents biggest ever match by making them have time off work and trek for a long distance night match.
Shocking decision. Could very easily affect competitive integrity too, when you're talking about semi-pro players. Less than 2 weeks away there's a real possibility some of their players won't be able to get time off work. Not saying it's likely but it's possible.
At the request or at the demand? Two very different things. Remember of course that the club don't HAVE to request police presence at a game anyway as per FA and EFL rules.
. Thats inside the ground. But SAG group rules can override the clubs decision, as in this case it's the police that are responsible for public safety outside the ground. (At cost to the ratepayers) Regardless if none are required in the ground.(which the club are liable to pay for) Stewards can take on the responsibility of any disorder. I'm as frustrated over this decision as anyone else btw. As it appears a very low risk game.
Just wrong on every level. So much for the magic of the FA Cup. We should be kicking off and demanding a rethink.
It's a truly pathetic decision. Obviously, the travelling Horsham players & fans matter not one jot to those making this call.
We all agree that this is a diabolical decision. What can we, as fans, do about it? We need to be united in action - whether that be 4000 individual British 'strongly worded' letters (I know that's daft), but **WE** need to do *something*.
