    He’s a player and a great find, that recovery for our second goal was superb …his five league starts since Lopata got injured we’ve had no goals conceded from open play

    Totally agree, the more he's allowed to grow into the team the better he will get, lad certainly looks like he's got a bit of everything in his game.

    I’m going to say it, a think he’ll end up better than Mads.

    His awareness is great, good in the air, pacey, composed, always talking to the players to encourage them and he always plays a ball in front of his man when he makes a pass so they can run straight onto it……..

    A great find

    Probably too early to say this I guess, but his anticipation reminds be a bit of a certain Paul Futcher.

    Futcher is the classiest defender that I've seen play for us and if Mael can get close to that he'll certainly make us a few quid. Like you say it's very early days but he's starting to look very promising.

    He's Maels in front of Mads at the same stage in their BFC careers albeit in a division below.
    We just need to be patient and let him grow into the team and develop.

    I'm sure he was lambasted on here with the board for signing **** defenders from French 2nd tier ,I may be wrong.
    But if you did you have a bit of humble pie to eat, as he is getting better every game.

    He had a great game tonight; his best, but building on some really solid performances previously. I understand why a Cole got the MOM but for me it was De g…. Miles……Guvarnear………the French Lad.
