I thought it was more than that. Anyway, he wasn’t fancied by Duff and appears Collins isn’t fussed on him either. Just doesn’t look like it’s going to happen for him with us IMO.

I was told Marsh was not getting game time due to being cold shouldered by senior players seeing him as a threat to their place in the team. I think he will make a first team member at Oakwell if given the opportunity and would be better off at Barnsleyfc.

Do the senior players pick the team?

I agree' he's a local lad and we all want him to succeed but i must admit i've never seen anything that gets me excited about him' the fact that he is a local lad may buy him some time and i hope he does succeed.

Never in a million years. Marsh is still very young and raw. Good at making those last-minute dashes into the 6-yard box. McAtee is a brilliant number 10, he's trying to play as a 10 even though we're playing him in a front 2, which is hampering him. He kept dropping "into the hole" on Tuesday (gap between their defence and midfield) which created confusion amongst the Shrewsbury players as to who would pick him up, therefore leaving space for others. He's also really tidy on the ball. Marsh doesn't/can't do those things yet. I'd keep him and play him alongside Cole in a rotation with McAtee, Watters needs to go away and refocus.

Whilst Cole is the only one bagging goals regularly & is top scorer in the division, we do have a lot of forward options. I like what I've seen of Marsh & Jalo, but while we are winning games, I think we need to accept the manager has 4 frontline strikers & game time for Marsh is probably good at this stage. Will Cole still be with us in late January? Who knows, in which case there is a berth for another mobile striker. Time will tell.
