I’m not voting for anyone today, as nobody stood out for me. That was a poor effort by us, because Fleetwood were cannon fodder in that second half and we should have won comfortably. We have one striker who knows how to shoot. I take that back, Jalo too knows how to shoot, but we wouldn’t know that today cos nobody passed to him.

Fleetwood did well first half, taking advantage of the open door in our midfield, running through us time and again, but in the second half they offered nothing. I heard a stat that only 4 out of our 30 odd crosses were successful and that sort of sums it up for me. We had loads of attacking play, but didn’t have a clue how to finish it off. Very disappointing.

Totally agree and Kane for me too, hope the club are busting a gut to keep him for another 3 or 4 years for when he comes into his prime.

He's brilliant for us and is always trying to make us tick, I really can't quite understand the obsession of some people trying to prove otherwise. Benson is the midfielder that needs to grasp the nettle and show his qualities not Herbie.

I disagree, I thought he deserved it. Between him and Kane imo!

Benson is a lost cause. Herbie isn’t. He just needs to match ambition with performance.

I’m not aware of what we paid for him. Others have commented on that and if they are correct at 1 million plus then i don’t think less than 10 goals and 10 assists is great payback for that. I appreciate you may think that offers value for money.

if they are wrong and the fee was smaller I guess that’s different.

on days like today where Herbie plays well I will praise him. On days when he doesn’t I won’t.

Seems to me like you are very harsh on Kane, I personally think he's one of our better players and can be even better when the team fully adapts to Collins tactics. I do agree that it's all about opinions though JV and do respect yours.

I guess Herbie just frustrates me. This will probably be his last season with us and he needs a big season to say that on balance he has had a good time here. So far it’s been meh but he has been very good in the last two games. So maybe as Collins style is imposed on the team he demonstrates consistency and contributes.

I’d say a good season for him would be 8-10 goals and 8-10 assists. That’s a stand out L1 midfielder. If he’s as good as he thinks he is that should be achievable.

That’s good of you. And on the days when I think he’s played well, and you don’t, I’ll stick to my opinion.

The old ‘if he’s as ‘good as he thinks he is’ chestnut. With absolutely no justification.

He made his debut almost 3 years ago to the day.

In that time he has scored 7 goals and assisted 10.

So 2ish goals and 3ish assists a season

Do you think that represents a great contribution?

Herbie believes he is good enough to be a top end championship player (straight from the horses mouth).

Do you think his stats back that up.

You’ll be able to justify your view if Kane can make 20ish goal contributions. That’s what talented players fulfilling their potential do. They impact games. They drive their teams forward. Pretty much like Adam Phillips did last season.

I actually have some faith that he can do this. You seem to have less. But it should absolutely be his aim and what he’s judged by.

One vote for Cotter to piss off the bloke who called Praise or Grumble and gave him dogs abuse.

He made some mistakes, but in the first half he was our main attacking threat.

Sometimes he doesn't know where his feet are, but I want him to keep trying trying trying, to do that you don't slag him off, you encourage. Arsewipe.

By the way, does your analysis take account of his season on loan at Oxford?

McAtee needs to have a look at his decision making, he does the hard work then decides to head from 18 yards out or he beats three men and tries a ridiculously difficult shot.

Just calm it down a bit.

I like him as a player. I can’t see him being a regular scorer.

You asked fo evidence I gave you evidence. Now back to you. Does that level of contribution seem good enough to you for the ‘best midfielder in the league’. Just a yes or no.

Gone for McCart but we were poor. Couldn’t see how McAtee got the official MOTM, maybe his good work happened while I was in the toilets.
